Bianchi Strada LX - 56cm - $180 (Mar Vista)

Selling my 1980s Bianchi road bike. I bought it in 2014 and have mainly used it for my few mile commute. I just got a new commuter bike and don't need this anymore.

The chain and brakes are new. The wheels are new-ish (and modern). The paint is bad-- the previous owner had covered over the original pearl paint and I unsuccessfully tried to remove it. But rides and shifts well.

Now $90, this looks bigger than a 56cm

Probably 25" and it is a '88 or 89. The strada LX was below the Premio and had a Hi Ten fork and CHroMo main frame the stays are not clearly defined Nothing special just a good recreational bike for a JV basketball player

Erto sizes are what you look at. 650c is 571 and your 1 3/8 is 590. The standard mtb 26" tire is 559.

These highlighted 4 digit numbers are pretty accurate for setting up your odometers.

From Wikipedia - "According to Frank J. Berto,[2][3] Raleigh Industries of America had been looking at a Japanese source for their Grand Prix model. Raleigh America ordered 2,000 bicycles from Tano and Company of Osaka but their parent company in England, TI-Raleigh, disapproved — concerned that the Tano-built bikes were too well made and would have outsold their own British bikes.Raleigh's sales agent, Mitchell Weiner, who was reading The New Centurions at the time, took receipt of the bikes, placed Centurion decals on the bikes and marketed them successfully, subsequently forming Western State Imports after merging with Rick Wilson's company, Wil-Go of Santa Clara, California. Because the bikes had all been intended as Raleigh Grand Prix models, as Centurions, they carried the colors of the Raleigh America Grand Prix model."

Early LeMans. By the 80s they were using various combinations of Tange Champion no. 2. My filthy example from the Clunker Challenge this year is this one's much younger sibling.

Canadian Content - Vancouver
Hits both cool and practical sides of the equation and at $65 OBO I'd buy except shipping to Ontario would be about $40!

MASI Leather Saddle - $65 (Vancouver)

I am selling a used MASI leather saddle. It has been bused and is somewhat worn in. The leather is thicker than Brooks saddles that’s why it might take a little longer to get comfortable. The springs help. Narrow so no rubbing on the thighs. Looks super cool on a vintage bike. Reason for selling is that I have another leather saddle that is worn in and is a better fit for me. Asking $65

1981 Soma Sport Man’s Bicycle - $100 (Somerset)

1981 Soma Sport Man’s Bicycle
Smaller frame on this bike. In great shape for it’s age. All original components of decent quality.
54cm from center of crank to top of seat tube but more like 52cm to where top tube intersects seat tube.
About 54cm top tube from center of seat tube to center of head tube.
Diameter of wheels 65cm
Suntour V-GT Luxe Derailleur
Sugino Super Maxy crankset
Suntour shifters
Dia-Compe stem
Nitto Olympiade Bars
Dia-Compe Brakes
Araya rims
The original seat covering is coming unglued as seen. The tires probably original and may need replacing. The bike shifts gears fine. Old original tape on handlebars. One or two scuffs and scratches.
40 year old bike!

I can meet near Cville Airport if you can’t make it out this way.

$100 OBO
