Odd Motobecane w/mixed Campy bits in Topeka: https://topeka.craigslist.org/bik/d/...368591644.html . Looks like some areas of the frame might have been resprayed -- the non-driveside seat stay hole is covered by yellow paint and the texture of the paint is weird in a couple other pics.

This is a 58cm 1988 Trek 2000 with almost all of its stock parts intact. A throwback to a wondrous time when things like aluminum frames, aero brake levers, and indexed shifting were becoming mainstream. 7 speed Campagnolo Chorus Syncro group, 170mm cranks (53/42), and a 7 speed 12-18T Sachs freewheel. I got back into cycling in 2009 and had the rear wheel rebuilt on the original hub with a new 32h Mavic Open Pro rim. A week later my wife surprised me with a modern carbon road bike and so this got put away again. As a result, the wheel has fewer than 100 miles on it.
Selling as-is. As you can see from the pictures, the components have some rust here and there and while it's pretty clean, it's not in tip-top condition. The pedals in particular need an overhaul and finding the unique Chorus aero toe clips will make a fun eBay project. The most obvious use to me would be to pair the group with a cool older frame but you may have other ideas.
I'm the original owner but am moving to the East Coast and can't justify bringing this 33 year-old childhood friend with me this time. I'm hoping it will go to a good home.

For folks who do not know how bad Canadian prices can be:
DA 7700 was mid 90's to early 2000 and DA 7800 was not much later than that. Also some parts sold weren't DA but were Ultegra 6500!
