The brand Diamant has appeared in C&V once or twice. Here's your chance.

>> Yet another teensy Cannondale tourer.
$160 in riding shape near Harrisburg, PA.
That's quite the deal -- it's new enough to have the lowrider braze-ons and threaded inserts for three bottle cages [1985 onward].
I'd drive an hour to get it but not eight.

I never saw one "Made in France" as this one appears to be, but aside from the Mavic rims it appears to be generally low-mid range: fake "531" tubing decal I bet points to common mild steel. But just guessing, here. Brakeset could be "interesting"...is it CLB? Seller calls them out as "Mafac", but...dunno 'bout that!

$400 ******************** Posted 2hrs ago in Waterford, CT
Ad title says $400 but in body of ad says $450.
Don't know the Motobecane models but between them and the Gitane there are 4 french saddles!!!
Front Motobecane looks like a boom bike (albeit a nice condition one) with I think steel wheels but rear bike might be something nice.
Gitane has steel wheels
Ps. Photos don't show the "xtra frame serviced and ready to ride" but presumably another Motobecane?

I find the mobile facebook marketplace to not be very good. But on my laptop, it is easier to browse the marketplace. It would be nice if they were more of a mix between the algorithm returned "this is what you want" results and the crude but easy to find what you want craigslist pages. I know there are those that hate social media for a plethora of reasons and I don't care for a lot of it, but for looking for old bikes to satisfy my wrench turning itches, craigslist is slim pickings in my area. Most of what I find anymore is on FB.
