I have three other bikes I need to re-home, and this is a bad time of year to sell anything. It's hilarious I couldn't find anything for months, and then there are three.

I saw this one a few weeks ago when I was searching for one to buy. I finally found my '76. On the way, I corresponded with this person, who seems to be a good fellow. Original owner. I was very impressed with the condition of the bike. He was asking $1200. a few weeks ago, but the price has come down. I'm only sharing this link in case anyone here is seeking this model. I think it's a '78 to '80, 60cm.

Trek 2300 carbon frame/aluminum fork men’s road bike with 54 cm frame. Frame is older but in great condition. Needs new tires for sure, but could also use updated components in the near future. No idea but that "ring" above the DO on the stay is a identifying feature I saw once before and promptly have forgotten who did that. In any case there's enough there (Campy Super Record, Stronglight crankset, saddle, maybe a "Bernard Carre" stay cap) that I'd be running there waving $100 cash!

If you are looking for a groupset to complete a project, or simply get your bike on the road or back on the road, consider the 1989-era vintage hotness that is this modest Shimano Exage groupset that is definitely used, but cleaned up and functional!

Comes with:

- How-did-he-get-those-clean brake levers (with faintly sticky hoods..), with quick release function (for larger tire setups)
- Standard reach (47-57mm) single pivot brake calipers with original pads (lots of life)
- 2/3 x 7 indexed downtube shifters that are definitely on the Struggle Bus but do function if you work with them
- Mountain LX 110/74mm BCD crankset with everyone's favorite Biopace chainrings, 50/44/28T half-steppin' gearing, and a totally-not-Shimano Suntour non-drive-side crank arm (surprise!) in the same finish, same length, and same crank bolt cap--I'm not asking questions
- Original 3-piece bottom bracket in decent shape, though the non-drive-side spindle race has pitting
- Beautiful front and rear derailleurs that cleaned up quite well--the white paint looks sharp!

These components were off a late-'80s Trek that I am refitting with modern components, but I wanted to go through them and refurbish them for future use. They worked before, and now; with presumably new cables, housings, chain, etc from you; will work even better. These are 30 years old, and of humble origin and intent, with time and chance having affected them. But this is all $40, so set your expectations accordingly.
