Definitely an interesting conglomeration. DuraAce, Gran Compe, Record cranks, older high flange Campy hubs, Kalloy seatpost...then a quick release pinch bolt to boot!

Not sure about this head badge, but I'm sure someone knows why it says Blue Bird.

Gotta be a missing digit from that Giant...
$50 doesn’t buy the RD.

Pretty Simoncini cross bike. If it had the original fork I don’t know if I could resist.

$100 It appears a bit "patina-ed" but solid. Leather saddle is possibly salvageable. Only the one photo in the listing, plus an incorrect serial number as a bonus!

It’s a cool bike for sure, but based on what I have read (a BF member has a thread about one) the stay clearance is limited to about a 30mm tire. So not quite the perfect all-rounder I would be going for. And that fork would bug me.

I have one C+V that came to me with a carbon fork as there was no fork for the frame only when it came to him so no choice for me as I wanted the frame and it came with a fantastic new paint job that the fork was part of. Traded a way too small actual 10th anniversary for this tribute version.

Cue the naysayer's.

This is really just a mock up and a poor angle so looks a bit odd.

But this for me was too good to pass up, it is a Merckx frame that came from a forgotten stash somewhere albeit newer that came with no fork so this ones paint job only was worth the trade.
It was vetted by CyclesMakaron as well so I was good with it.
It looks fantastic in person and is a top notch paint job.
I probably should have tried to keep the flat crown fork from the small one but have one now that I may have chromed so it could be used on any Merckx that I happen upon.

Here's the small one.

Bikes are okay, I guess.
