The Basso brakeless fixie conversion posted repeatedly here shows rust on the top of the top tube and down tube just behind the head tube lugs where the paint has cracked, which means that, unsurprisingly, the frame is bent from a frontal impact.

"This is a vintage bicycle by Fiorelli. It is a 54 centimeter frame and should fit someone in the 5'8" to 5'11" range. I have completely overhauled the frame including the bottom bracket and headset. The bicycle has new tires and tubes, a new chain, and new cloth handlebar tape. The saddle is a very nice suede leather. It shifts and brakes well and is a nice riding bicycle.
