These were uncommon even when new. Nishiki Saga for $225 in MD, the original drop bar 26" wheel hybrid.

1971 Fuji "The Finest" frame
$25

Listed 2 days ago in Hampton, VA

"Details
  • Condition
    Used - Fair
Early 1971 64cm Fuji "The Finest" frame / fork. This was their top tier bike at the time. Paint over fully chromed frame. Some rust in bottom bracket area, but just on lug, and not in tubing. Cool old example of early Japanese imports. For restoration or project."

Has this De Bernardni been post before or is it flying under the radar? https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...8338472927203/ Bethlehem Pa $200. You could probably get $100+/- of that back selling the CampI bottle

Looks like an early 90s Novara Touring bike...
I am tempted to get a touring bike of roughly this vintage to maybe convert to gravel... Just throw on the fattest tires it can handle and see what the fuss is all about.

Purple Novara speed bike - $250 (Waltham)

All parts of bike were replaced in June. Barely used.

Another possible gravel conversion. This one is in my size, but I'd prefer 700c wheels over 27" -yeah, yeah, the brakes have enough adjustability to swap in 700c wheels....
tempting...

This is one of those Japanese city bikes from the period where it was cool to put as many gimmicks on them as possible, hence the massive shifter. Some even went further with things like integrated headlights, radios, etc. Fun piece of history, probably weighs a million pounds.

Doubt anyone looking, at $12000, but just cool to see this well done

https://rochester.craigslist.org/bik...427574082.html

Antique High Wheel Bicycle, fully restored - $12,000 (Pittsford)

Late 1880's Sans Pareil high wheel bicycle, originally imported from Britain, fully restored, never ridden after restoration. The 52" front wheel requires a rider with approximately 36" inseam (wearing shoes). This is a museum quality bike worthy of an experienced high wheel rider or a reputable institution. Please inquire via email for details. (Hit 'reply' above.)

For 12K, you would think they could strip the 21st century markings off of the barstock.

Not sure why this has to be for parts. Seatpost stuck? Frame bent? Or maybe this seller just can't imagine that anyone would take the time to fix it?

Regarding the Trek 720 -- that's too much money by X2 for the shape it's in. At least for my $$$. Shame, too, it used to be a nice bike. I see rusty spokes!??

It'll take a lot of parts and elbow grease to make it right again.
