I've never seen such a minimalist frame! I think it's too big for me, though.

I am wondering with that generic fork crown if that is not the original fork....

Does look like some rust in the fork crown panto, but that would not deter me if I wanted this: some acid might clear it right up.
Interesting "kit" with the Shimano AX brakes and that headset...not the usual run of the mill.

Located in the Bay Area.
This interested me enough to inquire after the SIZE since it's local and strange: "track" frame with fork drilled for a brake, and a tempting price.
Seller never replied but as of tonight there's 2 updates:
1. The asking price has DOUBLED (from $150 to $300)!
2. Seller has added "52cm" to the ad's title
lost interest: too small (size) and too high (price)

Thanks for the update. I was going to inquire as well but I am not having much luck getting replies to the last 3 bikes I have wanted to buy. I thought it looked closer to a 54 than 52 by eye and always make me question their weird way of measuring especially if they dont specifiy ST, TT or CTC or CTT. But if the prices doubled I guess deal over unless you are willing to lowball.

Bummer on the price bump, I imagine the seller did some "research" after posting the ad. The internet is both a blessing and a curse.

Looks like an ‘88 with the derailleurs shifters swapped out. It could be a Canadian model though

I don't mind that. People should be able to get a fair price (even if it becomes a flippers dream, as long as the seller knew they were underselling). I have sent sellers emails that make them rethink pricing as a courtesy.

I also respect bike re-sellers (note the change in terminology), that take undervalued bikes, make them safe and rehabbed and make a tidy profit for their efforts.

Obviously, I have different views on those who simply re-sell potentially unsafe/no added value resales...

Ok, it's only a 26.2 seat tube but still a nice looking frameset for someone who wants to use up some parts. Says it's a Model 850

Benotto Bicycle Frameset 56 cm C to C vintage Italy - $99 (Albuquerque)

A great vintage Italian / Italy racing bicycle frame set anf forks with some parts included. 56 cm center to center, 57 center to top. Full braze Ons, no wrecks in great condition, exactly as pictured cosmetically great, includes bottom bracket, headset, 26.2 seat post. A great platform for a project, model 850 no issues to report. Good middle of the road frame set in Old school chrome Molly. Calls preferred 505-610-632three

Good eye - looks like a Clyde bunny-hopped that off a curb.

Turning a critical eye to the Mercian: beautiful frame, but I wonder if that is a crack in the paint - or the metal - in the seat lug photo?
