Speaking of obscure dialects, perhaps some enterprising school could teach "Facebooktalk" or "Craigspeak"? Combines Illiteracy with stupidity. @dbhouston You should check out the sellers other ads! "Letaher Coats", "Letter Coats", and "Scals" (scales). Appreciate the new spelling for Schwinn (Shannon)

Here's another.

Posted 4 days ago but probably still there due to spelling. For a second I thought there was a company named "Gaetano" but then I saw it has "Campanile parts"
I'm guessing Gitane but it does have some visible Campagnolo components (usure whose barcons?), brazeon for the Rd and tire savers on both wheels. Wheels are schraeder but could be replacements or drilled.

That said, few bikes "fit" that groupset. Maybe a Centurion (early), or maybe cool on a Motobecane!
Makes me think I should grab the nice Trek with full 600 (pre-tricolor) that’s been listed locally forever at the same price. The only reason I haven’t yet is because it’s non-indexed, non-cassette.

Based on time, either should be able to be had for less and depending on your stomach for oldschool tech, it can be a fine line. I never have embraced it, didn't race or appreciate the "simplicity" of DT shifters, I could never find them well enough on the road being tall I always had bar-cons from early on. Before that was mainly stem shifters, Schwinn Continental and entry level Mizutani.

And yes, now, brifters on almost all C+V and all else. A modern miracle, mostly all in, all good.

I can help you. But I am concerned about fitting a bike that big in a standard 52 x 9 x 29 shipping box. I have a few boxes on hand from recent purchases but not oversized as I fear that would require?

I actually got a reply. He googled BianchiGirll and I guess I got a lot of “street cred” or something so he replied. He also seemed pleased to see his bike posted here. I asked him to double check the size

This Alpine Grand Record is mine. Bianchigirll contacted me through CL and I found this Thread. I have re-measured at her request from the center of the BB spindle to the top of the top tube at the seatpost is about 22-5/8", so closer to 58 than 56. I mostly mtn bike but I purchased a roadbike about 2 years ago to expand my horizons. I purchased this bike (Alpine) last year as my 1st roadbike seemed a bit big (61cm) but I found the 61 felt better to me. Feel free to ask any questions.

What's holding the rear axle in place? It looks bare. No nut or QR to my eyes.

Been watching this one for months. Definitely want to see some more photos. Sure hope it's had to time to dry off by now.

Merckx

Eddy Merckx Corsa Extra Team Weinmann 60cm

$1,000

Eddy Merckx Corsa Extra Team Weinmann 60cm bike. Columbus SLX tubing. Campagnolo Chorus groupset with Athena brakes. Rare 3ttt stem and bars. This bike was purchased in Europe and rode through the Swiss Alps during the 90s. I am the second owner. This bikes paint has some minor blemishes throughout. Overall this bike is in great condition and ready to ride. Does not come with pedals. I can provide pedals for the test ride if needed.

Two oddities - posting more for rarity than value, though the white one (the Delcroix) is in very good shape and with the Brooks might be an OK buy for someone as someone seems to have treated it really well.

The Peter Allan is a mystery to me. I've only ever seen these with really basic components and suicide brake levers. This may have been rebuilt with better components. Made in South Africa?

Very nice road bike in good condition. Reflected in the price - Rear wheel has a slow leak and may need a new tube.

We love pugs also, have two at home. A four year fawn old who is blind, and a 13 year old apricot. They are both sweethearts.

I ride a 2001 Lemond Zurich weekly. Love it.
