Interesting but tall bikes in Tulsa. I get the work stand and maybe the $30 Dawes, but these may be interesting to someone. Maybe she inherited this collection from a very tall relative with a very dry basement, but they all look to be in great condition.

Facet with Suntour Superbe Tech drivetrain: $220. I have no idea what's going on with that cassette?

The bullmoose bars in the PX10 are an elegant touch.

I have no idea what's going on with that cassette

Maybe someone built their own cassette for really nasty hills? Seems like a heck of a jump

If you are close to the Facet, I'd grab it for the wheels alone, those are Phil Wood hubs.

Time to go. I bought this bike new in 1997 in Salem NH for over $1800.00 Rode it about 10 times, put less than 100 miles on it, and it's been in the garage ever since. This is an excellent example of a fine Italian vintage racing bike in fine original condition. Even has the original tires still on it. I put a fresh battery in the odometer and it powered right up.

Neat! I've never ridden a skinny-tube aluminum bike. It looks bigger than 48cm; is it just because the wheels are smaller than 700?
Looks like it's the GA Aluminum Sprint 105: https://bikalog.org/api/view/Guercio...ti-1987-us.pdf

Another aluminum bike. With graphics factored in it's a nice looking package. Aluminum is not his thing but paging bertinjim anyway

https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/b...444994647.html

Vitus 979 Bertin road bike, 56cm - $420 (Ballard)

Vitus produced aluminum framed bicycles branded with the Cycles Bertin logo and graphics during the 1980's. This one is from the mid to late 80's, and comes with Shimano 600 (Ultegra) components, SIS indexed downtime shifters, Matrix ISOc rims (spokes tensioned and rims trued), new 700c x 23mm tires, sealed hubs (spin smooth), cleaned and re-greased bottom bracket and headset, fully serviced 2x6 drivetrain. A very nice original Vitus that is ready to ride and has seen little use in its lifetime. No issues of any kind with this bike. Frame size is 56cm, top tube is 56cm, 32" stand-over height, fits 5'8" to 5'11.

Carlton … something

The what I think are forged dropouts, pump peg on seat tube, and braze one for shifters make me think this might be one of the nice ones. But I don’t see chrome peeking through any paint chips for the rear triangle or fork socks or head lugs. The cons to me are the repaint - last repaint I picked up had crash damage hidden (I should’ve been more prudent feeling for bumps etc). And the who knows what you’ll get aspect of eBay. Made an offer myself but seller has a different valuation in mind than me. Could be a gem or a dud, $300+ To find out! And maybe someone will buy it before I pay too much (for my valuation at least) for a just a bit too large frame!

Seller was very responsive. 58c/c seat tube and around 57.5-58cm top tube. Second pic below from seller, from the Carlton decoder ring I found, H could mean 1960. Flyer? Criterium? I don’t think Catalina but they might not have always had Capella lugs.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/CARLTON-CAT...-127632-2357-0

Could a Flyer be hiding under that paint?

I've carried 60 cm frames on the airplane, and find that the wheel diameter is the limiting factor for getting it in a box.

That's one limit; the others are rear-to-front dropout and crank width/rear triangle width.

Of those you can pack shorter if the fork is removed, thinner if the cranks and/or rear mech also.

For travel and shipping I built this box, it just fits under the postal limits for oversize charges:

Yummy NOS Paramount frame, if you can divert your gaze from the modern Ultegra eyesores. Must've injected the frame with anti-rejection drugs before installing those bits.

https://madison.craigslist.org/bik/d...444209501.html

NOS Schwinn Paramount - $2,999

This really does look original, right down to the seat-stay-mounted U-brake:

GT Karakoram K2, Vintage MTN Bike, 1990, Original, Excellent! - $500 (Fitchburg)

This one should be in Tulsa (or would that be Tallsa? ):

Schwinn Continental, 26" Frame, Amazing Condition, New Tires! - $180 (Fitchburg)
