Dave Moulton - Los Angeles - $200
Not sure that's real (?).
I saw the ad and my heart skipped at $200 for a Dave Moulton frame - I was in!
Then I noted the braze on cable guide clips for a flat bar cruising bike or a bike with stem shifters which are mounted to the downtube. It is clearly a touring frame with 3 x sets of bottle braze ons and it has braze ons for touring racks (rear and forks). Perhaps someone wiser than me might chime in??
Oops! Could it be his Grand Touring???
Road Test/Bike Review (1983) DAVE MOULTON Special Grand Touring
If it is, it was $925 back in the day for just the frame and forks!!
I'd need a 63cm frame but if this fits and it's real - buy it!

1982 Univega Gran Turismo - $200 (Kernersville)
1982 Univega (built by Miyata) Gran Turismo touring bike. 25” lugged double butted steel frame, 56cm top tube, has been completely disassembled and cleaned, all bearings cleaned and repacked with fresh grease, new tires, cables, and bar tape. Has new Serfas ergo saddle. Drivetrain is Suntour BL 15 speed (3x5) with Dia Compe cantilever brakes. Probably best fit for someone around 6 feet or over (unfortunately too big for me at 5’10” or I wouldn’t be selling). Cash and pick up only.

assuming seatpost and stem move......
https://boston.craigslist.org/bmw/bi...454278411.html
Complete barn find bike, needs deep cleaning and does not appear to have any rust. Easy winter project or could also be used for parts. Not exactly sure on the frame measurement as the seat tube is shorter than usual and the bike feels a little larger than 55cc

Pretty sure it would have been challenging to get correct decals for a ruse.

@merziac
Sure looks like it could be real and has all the correct livery including the Grand Touring label on the NDS CS.
Pretty sure it would have been challenging to get correct decals for a ruse.
My confusion was that I had seen maybe one photo before of these and that stickers can be created. When I think of a Dave Moulton machine I think of a Recherche or a Lux and tourers simply never crossed my mind, even though a nagging voice says yes, they existed...
Having said all that, @SoCaled emailed that he was leaving there and then to go and inspect it. He said it might be too big for him as it's a 25 inch/63 Cm frame and I said, "Buy it and I'll take it!". If he gathers it up I asked he please post as a full viewing would be nice.

Thumpism, WGB, and several others really have the knack for finding bikes -- but I am happy to contribute by posting those I see...
