That's actually pretty mundane as Columbines go. Beautiful construction though.

This bike is in excellent original condition with all original paint and components. Most of the components are in like new, unrestored condition.
We replaced the deteriorated Bluemel plastic fenders with Bluemel aluminum fenders. Rudi Mayr restored the saddle and we installed all new cables and bearings, Panaracer tires and Dipell leather bar tape.

Potentially a good deal - if you know a reasonably priced framebuilder. Unfortunately it's a "best offer" situation

1986 Panasonic Touring Deluxe - Cracked Frame - Best Offer - $1 (Jenkintown)Bought this neat Panasonic touring bike last weekend in VT from the original owner. She had ridden it in her 50’s/60’s but hadn’t ridden it in many years and the seat post was stuck. My shop was able to free the post but the frame was torked just enough to cause a hairline crack in the seat stay/bracket joint as shown. Probably rideable as a solid commuter, and certainly weldable to fix it, but it might just be a nice parts bike with a complete vintage touring group. It’s clean and in great shape otherwise so a quick weld would result in a nice bike for a rider < 5-6”. Thanks.

And there MIGHT have been a Cilo connection as to who built them.
EDIT: checking an old thread on the topic there was one poster who said: "...I can't remember if they were Bilatto or Biemmezeta", but another who seemed more sure of his facts and says these were all made by "Royal" a Swiss brand that never exported to the US.
And that the blue=Aelle and red=SL but some that are rare, all chrome, may have been built by Cinelli (and also SL).

IIRC, these frames with BLUE paint are built with Aelle tubing, the nearly identical frames but with RED paint are Columbus SL tubing....but could be mis-remembering.
