Tx!
I don't know, may have been 60-61 as the modern Paramount's seem to not have come with them. This one did come with it, it was available on road and track.
59 was the crossover year when a lot of things changed and Schwinn started using the top of the line foreign parts that were becoming very popular and necessary to compete at the races and in sales.
Here's a good article about some of this.
https://bikeville.blogspot.com/2009/...track.html?m=0
And one of my original threads.
1958 Schwinn Paramount P-12
They are called Schwinn Paramount adjustable sliding stem, double sliding stem, Major Taylor stem.
It is Schwinn branded as is the SP and brake calipers, HS is Schwinn but is not branded, complete wheels are original as is the paint.
This was a huge get for me, price was not bad, it shares my birthday and is the only one I have seen that was/is this original and complete that I could have ever gotten my hands on.
It's the flagship of my Paramount's that currently number at 5.

Vintage Racing Bicycles & Parts - $??? (Winter Springs, FL)
https://orlando.craigslist.org/bik/d...463652479.html

I was just in Orlando. Too bad this wasn't a few weeks ago. I would have considered buying them all at the right price. I'd keep the Merckx and Pogliaghi and move the rest on. I love deals like that. The more I look at it, the more I want that Pogliaghi for some reason...maybe it is just to save it from its dust covered, neglected state.

(are fork bent? Might be angle of photo?)
https://flagstaff.craigslist.org/bik...463742782.html1972 Libertas Mann Road Bike 58cm - $150 (Flagstaff)I’ve had this bike for a few years and rode it sparingly as a townie bike. It’s in good shape. Could probably use a tune as I haven’t ridden it this year. It has downtube shifters which shift by feel so it takes a bit getting used to.

So not a top-of-line frame, but if the price is right...
And those (ugh) Biopace rings.

As has his Casati, C50, and other bikes, just search for "campagnolo" and you'll see them all

I've had worse damage straightened. IIRC tool used was the"Little Brute". I can't make out that much damage on the steerer or down tubes.

Rad 1980’s Tandem Santana Arriva Bike - $300
Rode perfectly when we were last on it…it’s been at least a year.🙃This beauty is just taking up space now, and we’d love another another pair to have fun on it! It’s been hanging under our covered patio out back, so it’s dusty and will need to be shined up. Truly believe it should be operational (who knows, maybe new tubes?) but please understand we are selling as-is. Cash only. Pickup in North Portland.
