So does "handmade in the good old USA" make it one of the bikes that Roland Della Santa built for GL? That might make it worth something close to the asking price.

Wow Im not usually in the market for fancy Italians, but I just saw this Masi Grand Criterium on eBay for 100 bucks!

Currently it has 9 days and 23 hours to go, and NO bidders, so I figured that if none of you guys bid on it I just might win it.

(PS - I put a snipe bid in for $125 just in case one of you forgets, or places a bid before you see this post.)

Full Touring Road Bike - 57cm - Miyata Two Ten - Like Miyata 1000 ...... $250 ....... Bucktown / Wicker Park - Chicago

If you are looking for this bike or any Full Touring Rig, this is it. Very much comparable to a Miyata 1000, Miyata 610, Miyata 615GT, Trek 520, 620, 720, Fuji Touring Series, Novarra Randonee, Raleigh Touring 14 as well as Raleigh Kodiak, Panasonic Pro Touring.

Just a few of the highlights:

57cm Center to Center Seat Tube
56cm Center to Center Top Tube

* Triple Butted Chromo Tubing with a Manganese Fork set with Fender and Rack Eyelets.
* Full Array of Braze-ons - Fenders - Racks Front and Rear
* 40 Spoke Rear Wheel - 36 Spoke Front Wheel
* Touring Pedals
* Triple Front Sugino Touring Crank
* Shimano Drive-train including Long Cage Rear Derailleur with 6 speed Rear Shifting
* Freshly reupholstered seat with Burgundy Leather

The four main bearings have all been removed, cleaned, regreased, replaced and adjusted using the proper bicycle tools. I also back my bike for a minimum of 60 days and will repair or adjust anything the bike may need.

I have a variety of handlebar tape and can custom a matching seat if you like.

Calls Only Please - If the bike is still listed, I still have it. Please call on the day you can come and see the bike, my schedule changes day to day. - 773 234 8356 -- That's 773 234 VELO

Pair of pretty Centurions on CL in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. $65 each! Pic is too small to see details, but I am guessing entry level Accordo models...maybe as nice as the LeMans. In any case, a good deal:

Vintage Italian SOMEC 1980's road bike, 53.5cm - $900 (Andover)

Date: 2010-09-22, 9:11AM EDT
Reply to: sale-z46ts-1967157646@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

This is a vintage SOMEC from the mid 80's. SOMEC, for those who are unfamiliar with the brand, is a tiny, rare, and very high-end workshop collective in Lugo, Italy. There are estimated to be fewer than 500 SOMECs in the country and the company has produced fewer bikes in its entire history than Trek produces every month.

I got this frame a few years ago and decided to rebuild it. The paint was bad and the decals were gone, but there were no dents and no rust, because the entire frame is chromed. I called up the factory in Italy and they sent me a new set of decals (the real thing, not reproductions.) The paint was then re-done by Airglow Painting in Georgia.

The parts are all-Italian (meaning, Campagnolo) and nearly all period-correct.

The Specs:

The frame is Columbus steel, 53.3cm x 53.5, standover is 30.5 inches

Headset: Campagnolo Record
Brakes: Campagnolo Athena (1989)
Cranks, Bottom Bracket, Derailleurs, Shifters: Campagnolo Victory (1988)

Wheels: Campagnolo Record 7-speed hubs laced to Ambrosio Montreal rims (built by the famous Harris Cyclery in West Newton)

Stem is 3ttt, Handlebars are Cinelli, Saddle is a San Marco Rolls, Seatpost is Deda.

It's all tuned-up, in perfect condition, and ready to ride. If you've ever wanted to try vintage Italian steel but didn't want to ride something that's been beaten to death or didn't want to hunt around for the vintage parts, then this is for you.

If you're interested, you can email me or call me at 781.775.3577.
Thanks.

Just when I thought I may be getting over my C&V bug, along comes a grail bike in my size...at last...However, the paint is toast and it looks really rough. Full campy though, and I've got the money for a change. Hmmm...What say the Raleigh masters? Is it worth it or should I wait?

The paint doesn't look too bad to me. It certainly needs a clean up, but I don't think it needs a repaint...it's just patina after all.

Seems like a good price to me, but I doubt it will stay that low.

If you look closely at one of the shots just above the chain you'll see what appears to be a nasty chunk of rust on the chainstay. (the perfect excuse to paint it silver )

For the reference always check for completed items:
https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=320588378864

I've seen better condition and cheaper ($240), but it was gone before I lifted a phone. Or way overpriced as someone already pointed. I believe $500-$700 is a fair price range. If it's your size - go for it! I will stay away

Thank you Sir, for your estimated price range and most especially the staying away bit. You're karma points just shot off the scale and I predict you will have many virgins in the after life.
