Ideor Asso Special 1950-60's Campagnolo - $200 (Wayland)
Here's an unusual Ideor Asso Special bike from the 1950-60's. A great project (or parts) bike, including a chromed Columbus tubing lugged steel frame and vintage Campagnolo components in good condition. Much of the bike is original, minus the handlebars/brake levers/saddle/pedals.
The frame is in very good condition mechanically, and fair condition cosmetically. It looks to be fully chromed, with some areas of pitting that can be improved - there are also a few places where a previous owner used some gray spray paint for some reason. I tested some citrus based paint stripper in a few small spots and the chrome looks good underneath the spray paint (see the photo of the head tube, which had been spray painted gray but was removed by me). There are some very faint remnants of the 'Ideor Special' decal on the down tube, and some green original accent paint in places. Also includes the original front and rear fenders with the Ideor logo.

55cm seat tube, 56cm top tube
Campagnolo downtube shifters
Campagnolo early Gran Sport front and rear derailleur
Campagnolo hubs
Campagnolo frame dropouts
Campagnolo skewers
Universal Extra brake calipers
Agrati double crankset with 5 speed freewheel
Nisi rims
I have a set of older drop handlebars I'll throw in as a replacement if you're interested.
This was intended as a cool vintage restoration project that hasn't happened - would love to see someone else take it there.
The price reflects the condition and the missing original parts - the vintage Campagnolo components alone are in great condition and have value.
