^^^^^ How'd he get it (and the tractor and the Radio Flyer) to stick to the wall like that? Esp. with an aluminum frame, obviously not some ginormous-magnet-behind-the-wall trick.

Not that rare IMO, Schwinn had a predisposition for tandems having built them for 6 day trials at the turn of the last century which was huge at the time and they were the best at it. Building and racing.
They built many tandems and at any given time you can find half a dozen, I think they were one of the more prolific tandem producers at this timeframe, they didn't sell to the public until these and then they made up for a lot of lost time.
This one is cool to me as it has canti posts front and back for good braking with out a drag brake.
Unfortunately many of these are albatrosses now, you have to find one that fits and then ship it from where ever at great expense, then try and find the specific parts, none of that is easy.
Sadly, most anybody that is that serious won't bother with a C+V one of these.
I love em, cool as ef to me, can't find a good one in my/our size, yet.
Also, their ad saying they don't have time to answer questions will surely help keep this in stock for awhile.

I wouldn't read much into that "too busy to answer many questions" part of their listing, though. They're a charity, and likely depend on volunteers for much of their workforce. I'd guess that means they're sometimes if not chronically short-staffed.
Bikes are okay, I guess.

Appreciate the info. Thought that the Paramount tandems were even harder to find than normal Paramount frames for some reason.
I wouldn't read much into that "too busy to answer many questions" part of their listing, though. They're a charity, and likely depend on volunteers for much of their workforce. I'd guess that means they're sometimes if not chronically short-staffed.

They say as much in their spiel, and I get it, still not an ok look or pretext, they even backstop it with "do your own research".
If I saw this and was interested, I would expect them to answer any and all questions I had whether they want to or not if they want my help.
They obviously know what they have and are doing, with over 700 efbay listings with the same boilerplate is BS, they'll be happy to take your money but are to busy to help you spend it. I have encountered this before many times and realize its a business strategy that they are happy to help them spend my money.

Nice call.
Presently there are at least 70 Paramounts (complete bikes or framesets) of various eras listed on eBay. Apparently both are a bit easier to find than I thought (my "old steel" itch is currently filled by a late 1980s Nishiki frameset in Tange 1 awaiting build, so I've never looked for a Paramount).

Its an apples and oranges thing for me with the newer ones, the classic era ended around 79-80 as the design and production was moved out of the factory.
Pretty much when the Nervex lugs were dropped, I drew the line.

There were still plenty of cool ones after that and many were arguably better made but they are mostly lost on me.

Tx but nah, I just spend too much time looking at and for them since I was about 15. Always been a fan since drooling over brand new chrome ones back then.
