Gas-pipe(?) frame features upright geometry! Heavy, but with a race-bike feel. 27" wheels of course, and possibly a 21.1mm quill diameter(?).
Clean example, price is a little steep.
Tell me they didn't wrap the bars with Gorilla Tape(?).

This weekend I went to look at a collection of bikes and parts that were listed under the titles "2 namebrand bicycles" and "bike accessories" in the following FB posts. The seller was the daughter of the deceased owner.
The two "namebrand" bikes were a Trek 660 (1984, I believe) and a Serotta Colorado with a receipt for the frameset (including custom paint, C Record HS and BB) from 1987 for $1,256. There are a mix of wheelsets and parts (including Campy crankset and NR derailleurs, Matrix wheels on Campy Record hubs) that presumably were on the Serotta at some point. Also a couple of decent Silca frame pumps and a nice Brooks pro saddle that I had my eye on. The seller had everything in an enclosed trailer which was totally dry and clean. Unfortunately the lighting wasn't the best to get a really good look and it was pouring rain outside. In general, everything seemed in very good to excellent condition. I gathered that her father was the kind of person who took good care of his stuff.
I offered a fair price for the saddle, but the seller really wants to just sell the whole lot. I wasn't willing to pay the $1,200 that she wanted for everything at this point since the frames are way to big for me. But if anyone is "looking for one of these" let me know and I could potentially facilitate. Maybe there's a way to split the lot up and make a few people happy.

I looked at the listings... My least favorite sellers are those who have a vague idea of what they have and then price it to the hilt without any work on their part.
They will enjoy these namebrand bikes for a long time unless they get lucky and someone just has to have them.

I looked at the parts but am too far away. I was thinking of an offer on some but again, all or nothing means getting stuck with what I don't need. I can't guestimate a value for the Serotta as they seem to be all over the board. I'd guess $400 for the F&F but I'd want way better photos before I even starting thinking about it. The 660 is maybe $300 on a good day. Hard part about this kind of thing is - how worn is the headset and the BB? Do the wheels match? etc....
