Frame 58cm chromoly steel frame material mix of Columbus and Isiwata chromoly tubing. This frame is in excellent condition with no dings or dents.
Campagnolo Record 9 speed group set and Record brake set. Cinelli Bars and stem, speedplay pedals. 2 sets of clincher rims: MAVIC OPEN PRO & MAVIC MA 40 respond with double butted spokes with blue aluminum nipples in excellent condition.

I picked up a more modern one of these with the glued steel/aluminun frame for little money Saturday. The thing was gorgeous once I got the grime off of it.
Got it to here right now. Brought it home at 24 lbs 14 ozs, now at 21 lbs 11 ozs and seriously considering putting a NOS Ultegra 11 speed build on it.

Fork is a replacement and one bottle cage screw is sheared off (I think that's what the seller means). Ad has been up for four weeks apparently.

This frame turns out to be a little too big for me so I’m selling it.
Vitus 979 frames are incredibly light yet still comfortable to ride and not too stiff. The original forks have been replaced with Kinesis which has improved the ride.
The condition of the frame is OK but not perfect, but to be expected for a frame that is 40 years old. One bottle boss has been broken in the past (see picture) but can still be used with a bolt instead of a screw. There are no cracks or problems with the aluminum lugs or bonding.
Seatpost bolt and bottom bracket are not included.
