Agreed. Decent mixtes are hens teeth. I built my sister a grand touring mixte and it's her favorite bike.

Maruishi RoadAce 707 Road Bike With Shimano Dura Ace Components

$40
Listed 4 hours ago in Louisville, KY
  • Condition
    Used – fair
  • Brand
    Shimano
Up for sale is a retro Maruishi Roadace 707 road bike. Size appears to be 58cm. It must have been a solid bike back in its heyday as it’s equipped with Shimano Dura Ace friction shifters and both Front and rear derailer’s. It does need a few parts and some TLC for it to be in solid shape. Otherwise, it’s a great retro bike to cruise around town on.

Heron touring bike

Seller says: "Heron Bicycle co. Producers of beautiful custom made bicycles. Custom made bicycle with many custom parts (pictured as many as I could). Originally $2000 with labor. Shimano brakes Brooks saddle Veloce Campagnolo shifters Mito Stem and Handlebars. And more..! Offers accepted!" Seller is asking $720

These were a nice collaboration between Waterford, Rivendell, and Rona. Frames made by Waterford. This one looks very lightly used - dusty, but seller seems willing to deal.

I'm going to check out the GJ for a friend next time I'm in Iowa. Looks like it's in good shape from the photos. I'll post here if I wind up getting it.

Sure, facilitation could be possible. I will say, though, if I don't buy the bike, it would most likely be due to some condition issue like stuck seatpost, etc. Might mean you won't want it, either. Anyway, we'll see how it goes.

Thanks, man. I'm talking about the more expensive one of the two mixtes, though. The one with road bars. Pretty sure that one is a Grand Jubile. Interesting that they're both in Iowa.

Yeah that is for sure. Reynolds decal gives it away, also the strong light crank. Ought to be a lovely bike!
