You can't paste or post pics as a newb.

That being said, welcome aboard, you can post pics to your album on your homepage and they may get moved here.

Extremely rare bike in the Fort Wayne area, doesn't quite fit me, but maybe someone here might like it. I hear these are extremely fast downhill. (20+) Marketplace - Balance Bike | Facebook

John Howard Professional Racing Bike

$800$1,000
Listed 3 weeks ago in Johnstown, OH
MessageDetails
  • Condition
    Used like new
  • Bicycle type
    Road bike
Very light weight excellent 12 speed bought to train for Triathlons, but rarely used on the Roads- mostly used training on its Wind Trainer, which is available separately for $100! Bike is set up 56-6 riders! Complete Tune Up 12/22 and Ready for a Nee Owner! Cash only, pick up in Johnstown Ohio! Would like to sell this week! Come look, we will deal!

This appears to me that it might be one of the first Pro bikes built for John Howard by Dave Moulton. The fork crown and tubing are a definite match. Helluva a deal at that price!

Boy there are some interesting bikes this week, good thing they are all too far away, not my size or both. I mean that Raleigh is almost worth the $130 for the saddle and that Marin is just so groovy and that Batavus head badge is just so alluring

They were obviously trying to recreate the Shimano Dura Ace AX brakes on the cheap. Likewise the RD - it has the same integrated cable guide that goes over the axle nut. The crankset has been contoured to look more aero. It even has aero brake levers, but with the usual turkey wings added! The fork blades are aero-profile as well. You really have to admire the effort they put into this cheap bike.

Ooooooh, how about a nice red Strawberry? Maybe too tall for me and out of my price range anyway, but wow. Super sexy.

Complete with original receipt, no less.

If it was 3 hours closer, it would be in my garage moratorium or not.

Probably close enough. I don't buy 25"/64cm anymore but if that Cannondale has a 33" SOH I'd give it a try.
