for goodness sakes -- don't fiddle faddle on here -- if you're within a half day's drive go NOW and buy them both -- these are absurdly cheap -- the saddles alone are almost worth the ask. If the bigger one does not fit you will not lose $$

"1974-5 Gitane Tour de France Road Bike that is in great condition. The bike is mostly original except for the seat and front derailleur. The brake and derailleur cables were replaced when the front derailleur was replaced in 1993.
Other items included with the bike: unused spare tire, original Velox tire repair kit, some of the original Mafac brake wrenches that came with it in 1975.

Thankfully, Fiona Faggin has already completed my Italian stable. Although there is an equally intriguingly cheap Ciocc on the bay as well. No fork though.
