If it's a scam, they sure put a lot of time into it. If it isn't, I think they're in for a disappointment.

I contacted the seller and got the pictures below. I can see this Bobby J is more of a Sport Tourer than a true touring bike. Bummer.

Edit: Apparently the seller will now take $260 for the frame only.
================================================================

Bob Jackson touring bike - $300

I just picked this bob jackson up, but things have come up and I just want to get my cash back.
It's right around a 56. Campy dropouts, front and rear derailleurs, suntour superbe brakes and huret shifters. It came with a wheelset, but with the back rim was slightly bent and the front wheel had several bent spokes so i donated them to the co-op. It's a rad frame with fender provisions. no dents, and it's got nice pinstriping. $300

Bike restorer's clearance - Lot of vintage bikes - $600 (bernal heights)

Date: 2010-11-29, 12:57PM PST
Reply to: https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/bik/2085856653.html

I have been restoring vintage bikes purchased at yard sales and auctions (no shady craigslist or flea market purchases) a hobby for several years now. However I have received a job offer out-of-state and must move ASAP. It's simply not practical to take the bikes I had waiting for restoration with me, so I'm willing to make someone a hell of a deal buying them as a lot.

This lot includes all the bikes pictured in this gallery, complete with wheel sets. And a handful of extra wheels. Nothing else in the pictures is included. No un-mounted new tires, wall racks etc!

Here is an incomplete listing of the bikes being offered

Stella Racing bike, overall excellent condition. May have a slight bend in fork - 61cm
Free Spirit cruiser w/ rack. In damn near ride-able condition, just needs derailleurs and brakes tuned - 49-5-cm
Raleigh Road bike. Good condition, needs rear derailer cable tensioner replaced. - can't recall size, but greater than 60cm
Carlton Catalina, Crazy nice bike in wonderful condition. Just need new tires, brake pads and a tune up. Vintage brooks saddle - 58cm
Prince Italian made steel frame road bike. Half-way through a fixie conversion. No derailers or brakes. Brake levers included but one is mangled - 52cm
Schwinn Varsity, generall acceptable condition, freewheel has issues, new tires. was planning to use this as a personal beater bike - 52cm
Raleigh single speed conversion. Ride-able, just don't want to take it with me - 61cm
Nishiki Century, half-way through a single speed conversion. No derailers, otherwise good to very good condition - 43cm

Price is not really negotiable. The Stella and Carlton alone are worth about the asking price.
I'm hoping to sell these to someone else interested in restoring them. But, someone so inclined could strip these bikes into parts and easily double their money very quickly.

Will sell bikes individually or as a smaller group, but the price per bike will be more in-line with their actual value.

' wonder who's the lucky one who snag this. Seller say's someone is picking it up tonight.

PENDING 19" Nishiki frame. Very light. - $40 (Lincoln Sq)

I have an old Nishiki bike. Really, only the frame is very good. So I'm selling it as a frame. There are rims and tires, and handlebars, and a seat and cranks, and pedals for clipping in. But, again, I'm selling it as a frame. You can probably have the rest of the stuff on it if you like.

It is OUTRAGEOUSLY light weight.

19" from center of cranks up seat post to center of the intersection of the seat post, top tube, and down tubes. c-c So it's for someone fairly short, maybe 5 foot to 5'5".

Feel free to text me 3l2 96l 2478, or email.

These seem to have a good following around here (Cough, Robbie, Cough) and I haven't seen this color scheme. Incidentally, my size.

Way overpriced. As is the norm for nice C&V bikes in Western Oregon. I would not be surprised if the seller couldn't be talked down, bikes (and steal of deals) have been languishing on CL lately.

This one has been languishing in Pittsburgh for a few weeks at least, down to $200.

If I still lived there, I probably would have bought it by now.

Wow, they're brothers! Same size too! Weird.

Agreed. If I had cash to throw around, I'd go and get it. I feel less good about haggling original owners though, if the ad's true.

I received an e mail this morning that reads>> "You're one of a triple-digit number of guys that I came up with in a
quick search of my Gmail account for, the terms "57cm," and "58cm."
I would consider it spam but it's a bicycle so, a very expensive Paramount and very wordy ad. The pictures should be WAY better for the $2000 asking price.

https://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst...086773480.html
1990 Schwinn Paramount Campagnolo Chorus 9-Speed 57cm - $2000 (Los Angeles)

This bike was built from a NOS frameset in the late 90's, several years after the model's release, and then hung for you and only you, whomever you may be. The original tires are as-new. I replaced the rim strips with Velox tape and replaced the tubes as well so that you won't need to. Mechanically and cosmetically, this bike is a 99/100.

YOU WILL FIND ALL SPECIFICATIONS AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS AD.

Over 70 years ago, Schwinn introduced the Paramount. And so began a legend... The Paramount, whose winning heritage made it virtually untouchable, paved the way to numerous world championships and more U.S. victories than any other American bike, with over 40 wins for the Schwinn/Wheaties Pro Team in 1988 alone. What sets this bike apart is Schwinn's commitment to flawless design and meticulous craftsmanship. The 1990 Paramount is a blend of art and engineering whose sleek, precise lines are aligned to within .002 of absolute perfection. Silver-brazed and chromed dropout faces created by the hands of a maestro are accentuated by a pristine frame finish. The paint? What else but hand-sprayed two-coat epoxy primer followed by five hand coats of acrylic urethane enamel color and protective clear coats. A close inspection shows Schwinn's intense attention to even the smallest details, because at Schwinn's Paramount Design facility, instead of placing the premium upon the speed of work, framemakers were judged upon the quality of their results.

In holding up their own end of the bargain, the brass at Schwinn backed their workforce by supplying them with the best materials and technologies available. The ultra-light frameset is rifled Columbus SLX tubing from Italy's finest tubing manufacturer (A special blend of SL/SP was used for sizes above 57cm.). PLEASE NOTE THAT AS A 57cm, THIS IS AN SLX FRAMESET! In the end, the design is a reflection of the only test that counts, and that test is the race itself. Not surprisingly, in demolishing the competition, Paramounts ridden by the 1988 Schwinn Wheaties Pro Team logged over 120,000 miles without a hitch. The handcrafted frame features forged Shimano dropouts, and investment cast lugs and bottom bracket for superior strength. This elite Paramount also features an exclusive lug design connecting slightly oversized top and down tubes, and a seat tube that is gently flared at the bottom bracket. Such a combination provides for exacting rigidity in order to achieve optimum rider efficiency, even as the thinner, lighter gauge tubing delivers its unbelievably responsive ride. In an amazing feat balancing form and function, the lugs are elegantly scalloped for added strength with the chainstays and downtube offset below the bottom bracket centerline, and critical bottom bracket stress points are further strengthened by an exclusive conical seat tube joint and unique tubular chainstay bridge, the likes of which you just won't find anywhere else.

Art and technology, handspun into gold, right here in the U.S.A.

Suck on that Taiwan.

58cm Torpado Superlight Special Italian Road Bike - $700 (Jway and Bynner St. - JP, 02130)

Date: 2010-11-29, 4:55PM EST
Reply to: sale-fyyne-2085987812@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

Hate to do this but I just don't ride it as much as it deserves!

FOR SALE: Torpado Superlight Special road bike, complete with a full 7 speed Campagnolo Athena groupset (7 speeds in the rear, 2 up front).
- It is made of Columbus SLX steel (although the decal has been worn away over the years).
- Every lug is pantographed, including the bottom bracket shell and the headtube logo.
- The rear triangle is chrome plated and features drilled Campagnolo dropouts
- The frame features internal cable routing on the top tube AND on the CHAIN STAY (very rare and clean looking)
- Torpado pantographed 3TTT stem and Campagnolo fluted seatpost (not pictured) included.
- BRAND NEW Cinelli bar tape and 3TTT aluminum road bars
- Continental Gatorskin Tires
- Mavic MA40 rims
- Campagnolo C-Record aero brake levers
- Rides like a DREAM, seriously, you won't believe how smoothly this bike rides and shifts

I think this bike is from the early 90's, it is in EXCELLENT mechanical shape (just recently tuned up) and GREAT cosmetic shape (the top tube is the only weak point on the frame, paint is definitely showing some wear and tear but no dents/dings)
Frame is straight and completely dent-free, paint shows wear on top tube almost exclusively.

Please email with any questions or with offers.
I am asking $700 for everything pictured (including the pantographed Campy seatpost that IS NOT pictured)

Thanks for looking and for now, check out some pics below!

I'm actually looking for decal pictures. I've picked up a stripped CNC frame.

I can pick it up and drop it off at a bike shop for you or if you are REALLLLLLLY patient, I could probably box it up myself and ship it in the next few weeks. I'll PM you my email.

@Ex Pres, if this deal works out I'll be sure to get photos of the decals as well.

1988 Trek 660. 21" Frame. White with red decals, Reynolds 531 double butted frame, full (except headset and seatpost) 8 speed 500/Tricolor/Ultegra group. Tricolor hubs laced to Mavic Open 4CD clinchers. 3TTT stem and bars. Brand new chain, brand new brake pads. SPD pedals pictured but generic pedals will be included.

Frame is nice shape with a few scuffs and chips, mostly under top tube where the PO had a pump mounted. The tricolor group has very few miles, probably only a couple hundred. Crank still has clear sticker covering the logo. The brake calipers have more miles. I recently bought this frame and built it up but have only ridden it around the block as I lost interest in it. Brakes need barrel adjusters and it currently has no bar tape or cables/housings but I can include those things with the sale.

There is a slight indentation on the seat tube about 2" below the 660 logo. Not sure what it is from but it is very hard to see, the paint is not damaged at all and it is in no way structural. I bought this frame without knowing it was there and discovered it only when I was cleaning the frame.

Complete bike: $425
Frame/Fork/Headset: $175
Tricolor STI Group: $275

Will ship within the US for actual shipping cost.

Flash makes the paint look better than it actually is. There are several small scuffs and scrapes in the paint. Worst of it is under the top tube as mentioned.
