Silver 1979 Motobecane tandem
Good Condition
10 speed
Some rust
New tires and tubes, brake pads and brake cables
Bought in May but too small for me and my partner
Needs new bottom bracket

Great touring bike for long rides.
Lots of fun!

I would like that tandem better if the seller posted pics of the actual bike, rather than a catalog scan. "Some rust" and "needs bottom bracket" on a 1970s french bike are red flags. But at the price, still might be a really good deal.

here is one of those "Terry" type bikes. a Fuji 450SE. IIRC the 450 was a nice bike I don't recall seeing the 24" wheel model though.

https://lancaster.craigslist.org/bik/2101738713.html $250 maybe be a bit steep but look what he says about the shifting

I have an older Fuji Road bike it is a 46cm frame and uses a 700c rear wheel and a 24" front wheel. The frame is a quadruple butted steel frame that is very light weight and in mint condition. This frame is very high quality and should fit someone around 5' tall. All the components on the bike have less than 200 miles on them. It is a complete Shimano Light action group with a sakae 165mm crank (165mm crank arms are what you need for a frame this small). The shifting is on the downtube, and the rear is indexed which means each time you move the shifter a click moves a gear vs friction which is a crap shoot on getting it to the right spot. This bike was assembled to be used by a child, but I can't store it until my boys are big enough so it has to go. All the cables and housing are brand new along with the grip tape, so this bike is ready to be ridden. Would make a great Christmas present, this is twice the bike you will get for twice the price new.

wow that model was my first road bike back in 92' when i was like 13..... weird things about that bike:

-it actually has a quill mechanism for the seapost!
-apparently that frame is bombproof because the guy I ended up selling it to turned it into a cyclocross bike that he still rides to this day.

i once saw a hipster with a fixie conversion of that frame on bedford ave... he was clueless though when I mentioned the quill seatpost.

i wish that was my size. i can still remember the feeling of riding a roadbike for the first time (after having a bmx and constantly borrowing my older brother's mountain bike)... the speed and efficiency....

I literally rode end to end 1000x on the rhode island rails to trails paths that summer.

Hi big chainring:

Sorry folks but I couldn't pass on this one. It is right up the street from me (well, sort of) and I think the Miyata 610 is every bit the equal of its brother the 1000. I love my Fuji Series V and just hope this 610 rides as well (less the induced front end shudder I get from the Fuji). I will be picking it up this Saturday.

Maroon Bianchi San Remo - Piaggio Magny Ishiwata
Full Shimano Golden Arrow 105
3x6 Sakae 170 Cranks
Sakae stem/pedals/Laprade seatpost
Winpista bars
27" wheels, sidewalls of tires have some rot, but holding very well
Rear rack with Rhode Gear bag.

I'm putting this bike at around a 52cm, but haven't been able to find size marked anywhere. Paint/decals not perfect, but this bike looks like it hasn't been ridden more than once or twice before being put away. Touring bike from what I've read. Make a great commuter.

Frame / Size / Year: Peugeot NS22 1973
Handlebars / Stem: Stock
Fork / Headset: Stock
Front Wheel / Hub / Rim / Tire: 22" x 1 3/8"
Rear Wheel / Hub / Rim / Tire: same
Crankset / Bottom Bracket: 3 speed with / French sizing
Saddle / Seat Post: perfect / original
Pedals / Chain: perfect / original
Gearing / Chain-ring / Misc.: 3 speeds
Notes: Anyone who knows these knows they are rare in this condition. Purchased in CA for $750 (for both) 6 years ago. Almost perfect (few scratches). These generally range from $500 to $950 each depending on where you are in the country. I am in the Midwest (not exactly the land of bicycle collectors compared to the west) hence the great price (firm). If you are looking these are the ones you want. These were made in Italy. Both will fit into a mid size car's trunk. Mostly used while camping out west...never used here. Leaving soon; don't hesitate.
