Trolling?
Link?
Too bad it doesn't have wheels, but it does not appear to have ever been ridden.
Would be helpful if you indicated whether it's on CL or FBM or eBay or ???
But thanks for finally adding a pic to something you found for sale for which we may be looking!

Martelly (SL) bike Shimano 8 speed mix - 19 lbs 13 ozs
Giordana Polaris (SLX) with 6 speed Dura Ace - 21 lbs 6 ozs
Ochsner (SL) bike with Sugino/Shimano 7 speed mix - 20 lbs 4 ozs
Schwinn Paramount (SLX) with Dura Ace 9 speed - 19 lbs even
Colnago Super (SL) with original Victory parts shifting a modern 8 speed wheelset - 20 lbs 4 ozs.
Schwinn Circuit Tretubi (SL) with Athena 11 speed- 21 lbs 1 oz.
All weights are as ridden with bottle cages, pedals and the saddle. Good steel of any sort can build a light bike and a light bike does not necessarily make a good bike. My under 16 lb Cannondale is no where near as fast or comfortable as my 23+ lb Softride made in "inferior" Infinity tubing. 17 lb Giordana XL Super never felt as good on the road as my 19 lb one.

At first glance, I thought I saw blue fenders on it, which would be a good trick for such a racy bike.

Thanks for sharing your point of view. You told me back then about your Cannondale, I rode back a while ago on a Caad5 not so comfy, the worst was a Specialized M2 Pro, it was like riding on a wooden stick. Never rode a SL or a SLX or SP or TSX frames in all honesty , my main road bike was a Peugeot Prestige in Reynolds 708 classic with ultegra 6500 and dura ace 7700 with 18 speeds(9.7kilos) comfy and fast. My other road bike I use to ride was my Raleigh Maxisport with Campy C Record and made of Reynolds 753 with 14 speeds (9,4 kilos) snappier than the Peugeot but slightly less comfy. I will get my own surprises with the Coppi (Genius tubing), Grandis (Overmax Tubing), Daccordi (Custom aluminium), the Vetta (Deda 18MCDV6 tubing, I have already a MTB frame in this material which proved its potential many times) and the CT Wallis (Reynolds 731 OS race, probably similar to the 753 but I will have to ride it first) which are projects that I am building. Too rigid and uncomfy bike can penalizing over long hauls or long rides.Excell was one of my favorite tubemakers as were True Temper, Ishiwatta and Vitus but those aren't existing anymore. Kaisei is a japanese high end brand of tubing found on Cherubim bikes. Columbus range of tubes showed in link that they reintroduced cromor, sl and max. The newly introduced SL isn't Cyclex steel anymore but Omnicrom steel and same with Max which isn't Nivacrom steel but Omnicrom steel, so certainly an improvement over the past series

Falcon Vintage Road Bike - $100 (Holly Springs)
Posted 2023-05-26 13:24

"Selling a vintage Falcon road bike. This bike is for the vintage bike enthusiast as it is a hard to find higher end bike from the bike boom era. This bike has a desirable Reynolds 531 frame with Campagnolo shifters, derailleurs and headset, Cinelli stem and bars, Sugino Mighty crankset and a Brooks B-15 saddle. The brakes are Weinmann centerpull and the wheels are Araya 700C with Suntour hubs. The frame measures 55cm at the seat tube. It has chrome lugs and chrome fork. Falcon bikes of this vintage were handmade with Reynolds 531 tubing in the UK.
The bike is not ride ready but will need the bottom bracket and hubs to be lubed and a general cleaning.
Asking $100
All proceeds go to charity.
If interested, contact by text or e-mail. Also, see my other ad for vintage Campagnolo parts.bicycle frame material: steel
bicycle type: road
brake type: other/unknown
condition: fair
frame size: 55cm
handlebar type: drop
make / manufacturer: Falcon
suspension: none (rigid)
wheel size: 700C

Nice looking Stelvio. I had one nearly identical. '94 I believe, same paint, all original Dura Ace, same paint scheme, but mine was the Dolemans tube set (if I'm not mistaken). I think the topic is somewhat hotly debated, but seems consensus was that Kens was preferred over Dolemans. Mine rode quite nicely, but not nearly as good as the Pinarello Dynalite of the same year.
I dont think Pinarello is capable of making a bad bike, but they did make bikes that are a step or two down from the top. To my knowledge their top models in ''94-'95 used top quality Oria and Dedacciai tube sets.
