Posted in the tandem section, sharing here as well, owner sent email claiming he is trying to find a good home, price is flexible.

As I have proven, a few too many times, I only know enough to get myself in trouble, so you can parse these claims for yourself.

Miyata 914 Road Bike - Japanese Triple butted steel frameset , Shimano 105

$140
Listed 4 days ago in Sacramento, CA
  • Condition
    Used – fair
Nice solid, lightweight Japanese triple butted steel frameset. Miyata 914, which was one of their high end models. Shimano 105 groupset. Sold as is. It needs some consumables like bar tape, brake pads, housing and cables…anyone with basic maintenance skills can clean and finish it. I bought it for the frameset but don’t have time to complete it right now. Horizontal rear dropouts so believe it can be converted to fixed gear if that’s your interest.

He didn't take pics of the top tube, which looks a little beaten up.

Not sure I know Tom. In the title, it says Renton but the map shows Bellevue.
I can answer some, no index on the shifter, I the 600 is an update. The wheels, ah I don't have an answer on that, those may not be original to the Lotus, some people like to drag the rear brake. The toptube, that's not bad if I recall, I think there may be a chip or two but no dents.

I am pretty sure that he is in Renton, I think he works out Bellevue.

That bike is a 58cm ctc, I don't know why he has listed it at 56.

Does he post here?

I'd only need the frameset, is why I ask...

And the shifters, I guess

Was that the one in DC? That's my area if you need help. I wouldn't be able to box it, but I could pick it up and take it to a bike shop and you could work out boxing/shipping with them.

Sold to me, actually . I paid $80. Needs seat and new front tire. Bars, stem, shifters and levers are not original, tho the latter 2 are MicroShift and Origin 8 so not bad. The rest of the bike is original w DX drivetrain. It's a 1990 model with a lugged frame and the paint is perfect.

Tempting, but that would cost as much as I paid for the bike. Even a used set is around $50. I'll see how I like the MicroShift.
