Wish there was more information out there about Follis models. This one looks good even if it's not one of the high end models.
CL IN Follis Follis made in France road bike tall frame - $220 (Lake station Indiana)Bike is in very good conditionPaint is excellent condition Quick release on both wheels Frame size 24 or 62 cm New tape on handlebars Cromoly frame Was service and ready to ride https://images.craigslist.org/01616_...2_1200x900.jpg https://images.craigslist.org/00o0o_...2_1200x900.jpg https://images.craigslist.org/00c0c_...2_1200x900.jpg this appears to be the model 072GL ca. 1973 evidently someone has replaced the Juy Criterium front mech with a Freres Huret to get away from the pushrod (or because the body cracked!) price looks FMV in my view; certainly not a great buy there is a bit of text describing it on this overview catalogue page for U.S. market models of 1973 - https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...c083afa5bb.jpg purchased one of these many years ago at a flea market as a partial cycle to get the 49D; paid something like twenty or thirty dollar my example a deep blue flambouyant with black lugs --- EDIT: found the catalogue page for this model - https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...e3f07cc842.jpg the forum had an earlier discussion thread on one of these here - https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-v...-crankset.html ----- |

Looks to be an '84. Don't see these too often, especially in the larger size. Probably still a little ambitiously priced.

Has anyone ever found their “holy grail” bike but it was on the other side of the country? And you didn’t know anyone there?
If so and you bought the bike. How did you do it? I ask because I found an almost grail bike. It’s the correct model, size and vintage. Just not color (beggars can’t be that choosy). Cheers |

Cheers You can also ask on this thread, or make a thread looking for help. There are BF members pretty much everywhere and they tend to be a pretty helpful bunch. Doing a deal long distance can have some pitfalls and shipping can be pricey, but if you are looking at your "grail Bike" these are just obstacles to be overcome. Clear information/good communication will be your friend. |

IdahoBrett In addition to facilities you find here, you might find a bike shop which can pack and ship your almost grail bike.

I nabbed this one this morning. I don't know Bianchi all that well so I am trying to ID it; should probably make a post about it.

very good deal on this one and very high end frame, much higher end than Columbus Life, Spirit and Max of today. Nivacrom steel was found in EL, Max, Neuron, Genius and Nemo series of tubing

Maybe the fork had rust, and was fully painted, but it has the right profile. Its a real Cinelli, just not as vintage as the decals portrait. Robert I don't claim to be an expert but I do know an SC has to have the iconic seatstay treatment which this one does not. I don't think this is any Cinelli we normally concern ourselves with if it is one. It has a vintage SC decal which aside from being very wrong is blatant fraud, even stupid IMO. ;) |

I was thinking about that too since the high end columbus frames used by Marin were handmade in Italy

Just went back and looked at the pics and there is no clear picture but looks like it might have the classic Bilatto brake bridge?
