But the real treat may be the gold anno'd Mafac brakes, which are CP and not canti's like a true CX frame would use.
Otherwise: check the headlugs and elsewhere for cracks, this is vintage aluminum after all.

It's already a top-notch bike. It's always a pleasure to see high-end bikes from that era with their original components and wheels. I wouldn't recommend any upgrades.

The groupset is probably a Mirage so not even an Athena or a Veloce, Mirage is just mid range at best . In that era Record and Chorus provided dual pivot brakes, monoplaners single pivot brakes aren't as good nor as efficient as them.
