Don't know if it is worth the ask, but that is quite a paint job and it appears well dressed

Very nice bike, upgrade it with record or chrous 10 speed components and better wheels, and you have a top notch bike.

It's already a top-notch bike. It's always a pleasure to see high-end bikes from that era with their original components and wheels. I wouldn't recommend any upgrades.

The groupset is probably a Mirage so not even an Athena or a Veloce, Mirage is just mid range at best . In that era Record and Chorus provided dual pivot brakes, monoplaners single pivot brakes aren't as good nor as efficient as them.

Sent that exact Specialized to a BF member. Great frame but not the value the seller is asking. Maybe the starting bid.

One of my favorite color schemes though. One of my paint projects will likely resemble that one.

As I said, the pairing of the original group with the original frame holds its own unique interest from a C&V perspective. Upgrading the bike (at what would likely be a substantial investment) might be of interest to some, but not all.

Monoplanar Campy brakes are fine.

This street style bike is in great shape I just don’t ride the distances I used to. It shifts well and has good brakes as you can see in the picture. The tires are in good shape. The pressure tends to get low, but I ride infrequently, so I don’t know how fast they loose air, except that they are fine after each ride. I firm on $50 as I know this is a good price for a bike like this and it’s in good shape.
