This is actually a Sekai 2700 GT Deluxe touring bike, circa 1975-77.
In '79, I had moved to New Orleans for my first job and bought a Sekai 4000 (which explains my BF name)...but I was very tempted by the 2700. This model sports a Sugino Mighty Tour crankset, Suntour Cyclone derailleurs, maybe Suntour Superbe brakes, and a Tange #2 frame. The brown patch above the downtube shifters is perhaps a Bike sh0p label?.
Very nice bike at a bargain, if you're tall. If I lived nearby, I'd pick it up for the components alone.

Smoking indeed, the frameset is a Paramount design. Drop bar has been swapped on this one. Wife and I bought one JUST before the pandemic, only rode it 2-3 times, now it sits waiting for a stoker.

wow $130 is a new low. This one has been listed for the better part of a year with a steadily declining price. I probably listed it 6 months ago here or in the tandems section when it was around $225?

Hey Portland (and surrounding areas) Peeps!

Not a screaming deal here but a very fair deal, slightly leaning toward "screaming deal".

Large Vintage Davidson Road Bike (Sellwood Cycles) = $875

I wouldn't buy either, maybe I am paranoid but this doesn't sound quality control to me, here your pic illustrates a second dent behind the place where there are usually the cranks and the first one is on the inside of the opposed chainstay.

Yup, dent for cranks, dent for chainrings, and dent for tire clearance. Very very normal. They were still ironing out the finer points of using tubing 3 times the diameter of steel tubes.

All the clearance indents were pressed into place before the entire frame was heat treated to a homogenous temper and sent off to paint.

I love it, more frames for me!

here are 2 more SM-600 and Black Lightning - this was a Cannondale thing, never heard of any failures. Edit: maybe one of the frame builders can explain why this doesn't create a weak point?

Those were just used on the very first generation of cannondale frames and almost non appearing on CAAD2, CAAD3, CAAD4, CAAD5, CAAD6, CAAD7, CAAD8 and CAAD9 frames which can be seen for sale on ebay, since the tubing on Cannondale was exclusively Alcoa Alcalyte aluminium:

Ugh, yes, but at least this hasn't been "drewed" to make a *****en whip or something. Just the usual abuse and no fork...but for $25 and the novelty of a Medici Pro Strada with Tange Prestige tubing?
Almost a no-brainer for the handy-types, EXcept this seller also has a no-name alu frame in the same ad so be sure the $25 price is for the Medici and not some bait'n'switch before you make the drive!
