Another weird one

Too many mis-matched parts. Was there ever a Paramount with internal cable routing? No written description & one crummy picture that doesn’t show any component details.

Not only the internal cable routing issue, but 70's decals on a later frame. Something is off. Paramounts typically have chrome Nervex lugs, not painted ones.

I always ask myself in these cases, what does this look like minus decals? The (non-chrome) Nervex lugs remind me of Mercian. I've seen a lot of those with painted lugs. That's my guess.

My last experience with a similar auction house in AZ that used a shipping company to ship their bikes I was quoted $500-$600 shipping because they dont know how to remove any parts from the bike much less turn the handlebars etc. So the entire bike is rolled into a monster size shipping box and we pay the price for their lack of knowledge on top off the auctions fees, tax and sales price. Just keep that in mind if you were interested in bidding.

It isn't really near anything, half an hour to the nearest highway. I know a ton of people in the area and a with quick look, they are all at least 45 min away.

Looks like a at least a 20% buyers premium (can't tell if it is 25% for all online?), but they do provide the phone # and email of their outside shipper, so might be an option to get an idea of shipping capability/price before bidding?
If some of those bikes go at or below estimated prices it might be worthwhile

It's not free but eye candy

Too new to post urls or pics. If you like green upright Schwinn, this looks really nice for a browse. It's not mine... no relation.

Colnago $100 Birmingham AL

Is this a real Colnago? If so I may need to make a run this morning. Not sure what's going on with the bubble wrap on the seat stay.

I am thinking it is. Engraving on the stay caps, fork crown and head tube-down tube lug seems clover-ed.

I think he was too unsure to price and said $100 as a placeholder. Hopefully you get it for $100!

Bike Friday family tandem $300

Seller says: "Really nice little take apart for transport, or storage, tandem that adjusts for a wide range of sizes. Seven speed x three speed rear hub. The Paint is in very good condition along with components. The rear seat is showing some wear, but that came off an older comfort bike. Local pick up in central Illinois, or I can deliver to a local bike shop of your choosing." Seller asking
$300 in Lacon, Il

FWIW, Bike Friday sells a very similar bike today that is about $2900 -- this one looks little used, and is about 10% of the cost of a new one.

I’m not sure it has. The description basically said best offer. I think he put $100 just to get a price on it.

Well, that frame looked legit but...with a dork-disc on the rear you were not getting "Colnago-quality" wheels, and not 100% sure about the fork, strange pattern of rust on that crown but seemed to have some "clubs/clovers" under it all. Most off-putting is the seat-stay covered with bubble-wrap, if you got a busted stay not even worth $100 for such a rusty headache.
