From what I know, it was worth it. A fellow BF member (thanks habes) picked this gem up and is holding it for me until I can get down. A more detailed writeup on it once I get to Houston.

54cm Peugeot - $160 (Dupont)

Date: 2011-01-11, 1:35PM EST
Reply to: sale-pvpyg-2155066926@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

I need to get rid of this bike this week! Bought another bike (number 4) and I'm completely out of room to store them all.

Bike is a 70s/80s? PH10 Peugeot, 54cm frame, serial number 1446673. It's going to need new tires and handlebar tape for sure. Rides well for its age, shifts fine most of the time, but could use a front derailer adjustment. Some minor rusting on frame and front derailer is definitely rusted. Could be a good fixie project for the right person.

Make an offer and get this out of my apartment!

Is it really sloping or is it on a hill with an elevated front tire?

Haha, rear brake is Sheldon-endorsed, though https://www.sheldonbrown.com/calipers.html

I'm trying to get this, but the guy hasn't responded. Ted Wocjik...for $200?!? (I think the posting is a dud - fake, or seller not going to sell )

Performance brand 56cm steel frame from TrueTemper tubing. Vertical dropouts, braze-ons for rear and front racks and fenders, good as a touring or commuting bike. $60, or $80 with the 105 wheelset shown. I can also throw in some other parts to help with the build.

Also has a Trek 720 frame listed for $250

Saw three good looking deals on my CL today:

early 80's 53-cm Miyata 1000 frameset for $100
https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/bik/2157343893.html

1976 Raleigh Sprite 10-speed for $50
https://seattle.craigslist.org/oly/bik/2155872199.html

And this one...
A 1974 Stella in "near perfect" condition. Interesting, and opinion seems mixed on these, but I think it's pretty:

Well, I'd don't know about the other two posts, but I'm weighing the options if it would be worth it to have my shins shortened to fit the Miyata. Are you kidding me! one of the most valuable frames, other than the crazy euro-Italian stuff, for $100. Surely, someone up in the great Northwest passages must have the good sense to buy this frame?
