build sheets shows canti brake mounts, must have changed there mind?

Cantilever mounts aren't checked as an option on the "brazing list" of options, so maybe they're just drawn on all of the diagrams as a default.

I've had that one bookmarked for a bit, but it's a few hours away from me. I'm hoping out sticks around for another month when I'll be in the area.

My one concern with it is that I think the rear derailleur has been changed, it's a Shimano 600 SIS, but it should have come with Suntour Sprint. Honestly not sure which is better, though

If one of these were to pop up in Western MI at this price, it would be in my garage pronto. And why does it seem every 80's Asian bike under $200 is equipped with a ghastly time trial setup?

Cool! My Dad grew up in Temple City (after his family bumped around in several San Gabriel Valley towns before settling on Live Oak). We went there nearly every Sunday for dinner with the Grandparents, plus we Grandkids were sent to "relax" during the Summer so and wandered up to Las Tunas many, many times. My Dad was a dedicated cyclist BITD but I think that translated to a balloon tire cruiser (most likely a Schwinn).
We also lived in Pacoima when I was about 4 years old, don't recall any bike builders but don't recall much at all beyond our tiny cul-de-sac!

So you can turn it from this.....

To this!

That one being sold looks a whole lot like the one I found. The bike was so dirty when I got it that it appeared my grey than anything. Underneath all the grime was a real gem.

How do you like it, and how do you feel about the Sprint Derailleurs?

This was quickly sold as it was redundant with several other bikes I had. But looking at my old comments on this everything was positive about how well the components worked. It's one of the few bikes I've sold that I've regretted. It was really beautiful to me and I'd highly recommend someone snatching up that other one that is for sale.

Somebody please buy this (don't care if you flip it faster than a big mac) if only to get that stem off and into a recycle bin. There are Technomics that (IMO) do "the same job" without any of the fuggliness!

Sure, but if the goal is to keep riding the bike as you age, and that's all your LBS has in stock, that's what you go with.
