This isn't a steal, but it's not awful for a ready to ride Supercourse. It's possible he'd come down on price:

$275 Raleigh 54cm Supercourse. Claims recent tuneup.

For sale is a vintage Raleigh Super Course Road Bike. This is a 55CM frame. It has a 56CM top tube and a 54CM seat tube. This is in excellent condition. This has recently been completely overhauled by a high end local bike shop. This has had new bearings installed in the hubs, headset and bottom bracket. These all feel like new. Also I had the wheels rebuilt with new spokes. These wheels look and feel like new. Also all new cables and housing have been installed along with new bar tape. Along with all of this I also had the frame prepared meaning I had the bottom bracket faced and chased along with the headtube being faced. This has a Suntour Superbe drivetrain. It has Sakae pedals, bars, stem and seatpost. These are high end components from the late 70's. This is a high end steel bike that looks beautiful. Also this has new bontrager race tires with new tubes and velox rim tape. This was built as a new old school bike. Not a single speed or a fixie for the hipsters but a genuine high end old school vintage road bike. IF you have any questions of frame dimensions or components or anything at all Please email me. This bicycle is in excellent condition with beautiful components and parts. Also I will ship to anywhere in the US. I am only selling this because it is slightly too small for me. I can also give pictures of any specific part or area of the bike if needed. Thank you.

Maybe a Corsa or Corsa Extra?

Can't tell what's up with the bars, nor size.

Bit of a mystery then.

Could probably facilitate. Not as busy this week!

That's funny. My riding buddy told me he saw a very nice looking bike a few weeks ago, but could not recall the make. He remembered it starting with the letter 'S' and it being a long Italian name. He just emailed me letting me know he saw the same bike earlier today again. It turned out to be a Simoncini, which neither of us had heard of. And then I see this one posted. I immediately emailed him back. It's even his size. It does have strange white scuff marks all over the TT and DT, doesn't it?

Schwinn Crosscut - $70 (Nashua)

Date: 2011-04-03, 6:54PM EDT
Reply to: sale-qmmmh-2302483948@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

Schwinn Crosscut bike is good for riding on the street or on the dirt roads. My daughter used it while in college but it's been hanging around the house for a few years and it's just taking up space.
It has a triple chainring, Biopace crank with a 7 speed cassette and an Axage LX400 rear derailier. The bike has Shimano Acera X shifters and a quick release front wheel. It is sized as an 18 inch frame that fits someone between 5'7" and 5'9".
This is a fun 21 speed bike that allows you to ride on or off the road. The paint has some scratches but it runs great. Asking $70.00 or best offer.

We went over this bike in another forum and looks like the fork is not the original one, some people including myself we have some of these ones and the fork doesn't match, this one in specific should have chrome in the drop outs, this one doesnt have that form the pictures, and the fork crownfork doesnt match either, so looks like it doesnt have the original fork, and the bigest give away is the amount of spacers in the fork, too many, the replica's use almost no spacers. The shimano decal shouldnt be there also. This bike actually was sold in ebay maybe 6+ months ago.

Pure "Bike Boom" Gold. I could see my daughter riding that Raleigh this summer.
That will be one lucky person who snags that gem.
