Nope.

It's the "who built it" part that attracts me.

BG gets this aspect, among others here I'm sure.

.....and the color scheme is icing on a tasty cake.

If it wasn't a Chris Chance, I would have posted it in the wacky world thread.

That said, those colors are really dissonant.

THIS IS MY SON'S BIKE, LEFT IN THE HEATED GARAGE FOR ALMOST TEN YEARS AND TAKEN OUT FOR MY ANNUAL RIDE AROUND THE NEIGHBORHOOD EVERY SPRING. SON IS NOT INTERESTED, EXCEPT IN THE PROCEEDS, BIKE REMAINS A GREAT RIDE. IT WEIGHS ABOUT 20 LBS IT HAS A 56CM FRAME AND 26" WHEELS, EVERYTHING WORKS BUT COULD PROBABLY USE A TUNE UP. COMES WITH FRONT AND REAR WHEELS AND TIRES.

Batavus "Professional" racer - Columbus steel frame - $350 (Columbia)

Used Batavus (Netherlands) "Professional" model (top of the line) racer. The type that was used in road professional races. Comes with Columbus steel frame and other original components. Some light rust on cross bar but otherwise paint and decals are good. 16 speed gears. This thing is really lightweight. It retailed for over $2,000 dollars in 1985.

I don't doubt the quality of the bike...only the sanity of the person behind the paint scheme. I couldn't look at it every day. I'd keep a migraine. Now I can't get that stupid theme to the Partridge Family out of my head. If that bike was a dog, I wouldn't feed it. It is quite possibly the most putrid looking thing on two wheels. I wouldn't care if Coppi rode it. It's flat nasty.

I like these but my wife says that I already have bike shoes from the '70s and '80s if I really need to feel retro.
