10 Speed All Aluminum Bicycle - $30 (East Side of Cincy)

Reply to: sale-rbrn5-1364673270@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

Panosonic 24" (I think) all aluminum bicycle, ten speed. Very very light weight. Paint in excellent condition. Bike is 20 years old and tires will not hold air. But everything works and it looks nice. The tires measured 26" from outside to outside...

Always garage stored. $30. Email me if interested.

Schwinn Paramount Frameset
Built in Waterford, Wisconsin

Serial #5700 WJ 86050 (Built September 1986)

Columbus SLX tubing
Mavic Headset
Campagnola bottombracket

I bought this over 8 years ago from someone who had bought it NOS and built it up with Campy components. He removed all of the components except the bottom bracket before I bought the frameset. I never did build up the bike, but have stored the frameset in my climate controlled home since purchase. Paint is in excellent condition with a few minor nicks. Looks new.

$125 cash

Ok, desperation. I'm hitting the road in a few days and I need the money. Wont consider anything below 100. Great bike in very fair riding condition. Seat post is rusted in place, but that's the only set back aside from a rear tube that needs patching. Purchased a year ago in Portland for 350 and, I believe, worth every cent. Very light and fast. Great for commuting long distances or short trips to the store. Email me with your offer and a phone number. Also, throwing in my blackburn hand pump.

From picture, my guess is '85 Peloton. I'm pretty sure, at least, those are 1985 decals.

50 cm Tommasini Columbus SLX - $450 (Westford)

Reply to: sale-ftykk-1376906551@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

Here's that classic Italian frame set you always wanted.

50 cm Tommasini. Columbus SLX tubing (steel). Lugged frame. Frame set purchased new in 1988 for $800. Well over $1600 invested.

Campy Chorus crankset, hubs, front derailer. MA40 rims. Dura-ace headset. Mavic rear derailler.

Freewheel, chain and chain rings were recently replaced.

Excellent project bike. As the frame is steel, Hot tubes could re-space the rear drop outs to 130 mm and allow the drive train to be up dated to 9/10 speeds.

Not included -- pedals, saddle, seatpost.

Interesting old French frame, all chrome, on ebay. Lots of photos. Here's the description:
This auction is for.a vintage French all-chrome cyclo-touring bike, probably from the 1950's, maybe the forties. The auction includes a French-threaded bottom bracket, a French-threaded Stronglight Competition headset, and a right-hand Simplex shifter mounted on the downtube braze-on. The frame measures 62 cm center to top and 60 cm center to center on the seattube; it measures 57.5 cm center to center on the toptube; the rear is spaced 120 mm. The frame has the following braze-ons: right-hand downtube shifter; two downtube pump pegs; a braze on over the bottom bracket for a wheel that is missing; a chainstay cable housing stop, that is to accommodate two wires with an appropriate derailleur; two rear brake stops and guides at the two o'clock position on the toptube; underneath the right chainstay near the bottom bracket there is an eyelet, but I am not sure of its function; at one point in the frame's life there was an underneath the chainstay mount for the rear derailleur to accommodate a derailleur to handle the two wires. The serial number on the right rear drop-out reads 262, and on the left drop-out is the number 23688; on one side of the front drop-out is the number 62. The frame at one time had a headbadge; there are two holes for its mounting. I do not know, however, which manufacturer this frame is from.

The chrome overall is in good condition. There are various places where the chrome has flaked off. The seatpost size is 25.6. The drop-outs have eyelets; the front drop-outs do not have a manufacturer's mark on them; the rear has LJ and what looks like Simplex but I cannot read it completely. There is a rattle inside one of the tubes as if there is flux in it or a couple of pieces of sand.

This is an opportunity to get a quality French made frame from the 1950's; it will require some searching to find the parts appropriate for it, but this frame and fork can make the search rewarding in its completion. This frame would be aappropriate for hanging your vintage Mafac, Campagnolo, TA, Stronglight, Simplex, or Huret components.

'67 Bottecchia 66cm - $80 (concord / pleasant hill / martinez)

Date: 2009-09-16, 10:44AM PDT
Reply to: sale-4zgha-1377460874@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

Tall Bottecchia DeLuxe, guessing from 1967 to 1970 for production from the 1966 Bottecchia stickers on bike. 66cm bike, probably best if you are 6'1" or over. Suntour components, Ofmega headset, Carnielli fork stem. The headset & bottom bracket function well. Cool headbadge. It has scrapes on the paint from being 40+ yrs old.

Why so cheap? The fork is bent (see pic) and should be replaced. However, it rides straight as it is.

Not a Peloton, but a Circuit. Probably an 89' and is Columbus SL/SP with full Shimano Sante group. Someone drop everything and go buy that thing immediately. Frameset alone is worth the asking price.
