All the Series Paramounts were built with chromoly except for the Series 9C, a composite Paramount built by Kestrel which, at the time was partially owned by Schwinn.

78 Raleigh Supercourse - $275 (Lancaster)

Date: 2011-06-29, 5:51PM EDT
Reply to: sale-ddmpe-2464194890@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]
$300 or best offer

This is a 78 or 79 Raleigh Supercourse made in the Carlton factory (kind of rare). The bike is in really good shape and has been a commuter for about 2 years now. If you are looking for a retro iron ride this bike would be perfect.
Some of the specs are:

23.5" (59cm) frame. 700C frame (https://www.sheldonbrown.com/retroral...percourse.html)
531 Reynolds tubing
Stock Raleigh cranks (2 chain wheel 40/52)
7 speed aftermarket cassette rear wheel 700C (shimano)
Shimano unsealed 700c front wheel
SR stem
Stock Headset
Custom drop-bar friction shifters (not available to purchase anywhere 100% custom design and work awesome)
Shimano Light action rear derailer
Stock Raleigh Front derailer

I am selling because I want to update and get a new ride but this bike has tons of miles left in it. If you are interested please email me and we can talk prices etc... AND I WILL DELIVER

I am also selling the Campy 980 rear and front derailures, the stock Weinmann center pulls, 3t drop bars and the HP pump in the deal for a more historic ride.

! 1983 / 84 TREK Road 61cm Frame/Fork/Bars - $80 (Newton)

Date: 2011-06-29, 8:23PM EDT
Reply to: sale-daep6-2469842316@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]
1983 or '84 Trek. I restored this bike a couple of years ago. Since then I stripped it for parts and am selling what I cant use.
It's a trek 300 or 500. I looked it up when the decals were still there but I forget exactly what it is now.

I measured 61cm as accurately as I could. Maybe its taller, either way its for tall people. I am 5'10'' and it was too tall for me, but I managed. 6' and up will love it.
Reynolds 501 Steel. Slate Gray color.

Bottom bracket perfectly intact: square tapered axle.
Ready for some cranks.

Fork/headset/Bars all from the original bike. All installed and functioning well.

Belleri drop handle bars. perfect condition, very nice bars.

Shimano 600 shifters still on there. all original components were Shimano 600 (maybe you are a bike nerd and that will help you identify exactly the year and model of the bike).

Paint chipping/ cosmetic rust all over. Not affecting the integrity of the frame, but I'm guessing anyone buying this will be serious and wanna sandblast and paint it.

With all this stuff I think $80 is fair. If you want an individual component like just the frame or just the bars or something thats cool too.
Thanks for looking! Let me know if you need more/bigger pictures.

Masi Gran Criterium 1980 54cm frame - $600 (East Cambridge (Kendall/Galleria))

Date: 2011-06-30, 3:23PM EDT
Reply to: sale-458cd-2471093808@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]
MASI Frame 54cm $600 OBO
1991 Painted and modern cable routing below bottom bracket also added derailleur bracket, and modified rear triangle to accept modern groupset. (I have washers necessary for installing older 126mm groupsets should you so desire.)
Campy dropouts,
Minor scratches, overall appearance excellent
Seat tube measures 52cm from the center of the bottom bracket to the center of the top tube
Top tube measures 54cm from the center of the seat tube to the center of the steer tube
MASI measures frames differently than other manufacturers so...
I have provided the exact measurements so there are no misunderstandings
The frame is stamped "MC 54 A 80 2"on the bottom bracket (see photo)
Which means Masi California 54" frame 1980 second frame of the first quarter

It is, and you can get that one as a Kestrel 200 for half that 9C, or move to the 200SCi for a bit more, and stay well under 500 clams.

I'd love to have that 9C just to have it, but not $500 worth.

Okay, I think it is possible that Craigslist is trying to taunt me.

Check out this Raleigh Sprite, which I am absolutely drooling over. This thing is seriously cherry, and probably the most beautiful Raleigh anything I have ever seen on CL. If I had $400, and it were not almost certainly too big for me anyway, I would OWN this bike. It is GLORIOUS:
https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/bik/2471518604.html

Or how about the nameless "Italian Steel Mixtie" with much Campy for a mere $100 and actually including this sentence in the ad: "I'm no expert regarding bikes..."
https://seattle.craigslist.org/skc/bik/2467687232.html

The 1950's matching pair of Japanese 3-speeds, with the ladies bike having a killer full chaincase. Both bikes for $175:
https://seattle.craigslist.org/est/bik/2471763857.html

This one has no picture, but describes a "English Raleigh Carlton Reynolds," which sounds rather interesting:
https://seattle.craigslist.org/skc/bik/2471652538.html

An unusual 70's Dutch 3-speed with full chaincase (too much money, though):
https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/bik/2470761666.html

A sweet little girl's blue Raleigh Mountie for a reasonable sum:
https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/bik/2468109950.html

Nevermind that there are at least three Raleigh Sports in my size, and this 80's Klein mountain bike that makes me want to give it some lovin', despite that fact that I never, ever want to ride on a mountain:
https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/bik/2455477840.html

And finally, just because I know how much you guys love this sort of thing...

A Nishiki lugged steel fixie with Velocity Deep V's... in a glorious shade of orange. You really have to see this one to appreciate it:
https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/bik/2470576552.html

That mixte is not a mixte and $100 may be too much. Campy had a budget line too that allowed builders to pump out sub-$100 bikes.

Some better pics would be nice but could the "campi wheels" be HF hubs?

who was looking for a Sport Tourer type bike? this '89ish frame may make a good commuter/light tourer

Don't see this too often.

Rivendell Ramboullet bicycle frame 64 cm

This is a Rivendell Ramboullet in orange and cream that I bought advertised as a 62 cm, except it's really a 64 cm, which I already have. ...
I love mine, though it is a hair too large for me
