Reply to: sale-6scda-2547229083@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]
Up for sale: A 1985 Ross Signature 292S steel frame road bike. Tall 24 in frame. with a stand over height of just under 34.5 inches.
I bought this bike in the fall, added new brake pads. Added new tubes and tires. Panaracer 120 psi tires, they are fast and provide a nice ride.
700c x 23
Mavic rims, shimano 600 rear with 105 components. no pedals.

the seat is now a white specialized body geometry seat from 2010

The bike was designed by Tom Kellogg now of spectrum cycles. They market a very similar bike today for 3200.00.
53/42 front with seven speed rear, shift great recent tune with new rear cluster and chain.

The tubing is Ishewata ex triple butted cromoly steel just like a bridgestone rb-2. It has a nice racing geometry. And a lively ride.

It rides great and is fast. I have been on this bike for over 500 miles.

call me, come on over, and take it for a ride, six foot two and up unless you have really long legs.
The bike is at my home. in Brooklyn CT I live 1 1/2 hrs from fenway park.

1992 Paramount PDG Series 3 Road Bike - 52 or 53cm - $300 (Center City, Philadelphia)
Date: 2011-08-14, 12:23PM EDT
Reply to: sale-fmfqn-2546277492@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]
Hi everyone!

I'm listing a 1992 Paramount PDG Series 3 road bike that is probably 52 or 53 cm - I'm 5'7" and it fits me perfectly.

The bike is part of the Paramount series 3, and features Shimano RX-100 components. These bikes were produced by what has become Waterford Cycles, and are beautiful and great to ride. I've replaced the bar tape, saddle, and tires, but other than that, the bike is pretty much as it was when the original owner bought it.

The bike is in good condition, and I've hardly ridden it in the past 10 or so years I've owned it. It's a beautiful classic bike, but I'm moving and need to get rid of some of the clutter. These babies are fetching 500 bucks or more on eBay, but I'd love to get rid of it soon and put it in the hands of someone who will take care of it. Email me if you'd like to come see it (make sure you mention that this is RE: the bike, as I'm listing a bunch of guitars and things on here too). I live in Center City near Rittenhouse Square, and am free anytime after noon or so this week.

This bike needs new tires and maybe a little touch up paint otherwise it is in good condition. It says Grand Tubile on the side of it. Someone recently told me that it is a Grand Jubilee or something like that. im sorry i dont know much about bicycles. I recently got it from a farmer that i did some work for. I also just recently got my license and am curently trying to get a car so i need some extra cash to go towards my car. I was planing on fixing the bike up so that i could ride it but i would rather have a car. If you are interested please text me at (217) 617-0031 please just text and do not call or email me. i can also send pictures through texting and am willing to send pictures of the bike! Thank you

1960 Louison Bobet SS 15-speed

This one is for all you Frenchies out there. I know nothing of these bikes but this one looks interesting. It is a single speed right now but owner says he will give all the original 15-speed parts to the buyer. Maybe something, maybe nothing. Might be worth a try for $100 plus freight.

Warning! Fake Ciocc

Most BFers would probably notice right away that this is not a real Ciocc but, just to be sure, here is the auction. Steer clear.

A woman's10-speed Schwinn . This is in OK condition -- it just needs new tires and a little oil on the sprockets and it's good to go. However, this is a good quality bicycle with little wear and tear. Comes with a brand-new Schwinn bike seat. SPECIAL: Buy it and take it by August 17 and it's $45. First come, first serve.

This is a posting for an absolutely gorgeous 1985 celeste special gruppo color scheme. Colombus Tubing, Gipiemme seat post, Cinelli BB, Celeste schemed Turbo Sella Italia Saddle, and celeste schemed bar tape. An absolute beauty!!!

58' cm although my girl is 5'9 and feels quite cozy on it, but I am 6'1 and feel quite the same, cozy and really smooth and fast. Glides... to be quite honest. It is a stunning bike and a piece of history. But sometimes you have to let go of things. And this is my thing.

It speaks for itself and I think anyone, man or woman, would really enjoy this.

Francesco Moser vintage Italian Columbus road bike - 48cm - $400 (East Boston)

Date: 2011-08-15, 9:04PM EDT
Reply to: sale-kmhzb-2548917972@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]
As much as I hate to let this bike go, I simply don't have the time to ride it or the money to keep it. I'm going to be out of the country until next year soon so hopefully someone else can make better use of the bike. I picked up the bike last Fall with intentions replace all the wear items (levers, brake and derailleur cable/housing, etc.), but never got the chance to. I will include all the items I've collected for the purpose, listed below under "Additional items included." The previous owner is a bike mechanic who tuned up the bike up before selling it to me. The bike is functional except for a flat back tire.

The bicycle is a vintage Italian Francesco Moser, probably from the early 80's. There is amazing decorative detail work on the frame. To name a few: chromed fork and chainstay, pantographed lugs, and bottom bracket casting cutout. The cutout is my favorite detail of the frame; it reads FM for Francesco Moser. Decals on seat tube seem to be smudged in a shop stand clamp but all other decals look pretty good. And of course there is that cool graphic of Francesco on the head tube! Pictures below.

Here are the specifications:

-Columbus frame and fork
-Ofmega crank and headset
-Dura Ace front derailleur
-Shimano 600 rear derailleur
-Universal 68 brakes
-Campagnolo downtube shifters
-Campagnolo seat post.
-Campagnolo dropouts (one rear adjuster screw is bent).
-Nitto stem and drop bars
-Miche competition hubs and Araya rims
-Specialized 700 x 28C touring tires with gum walls

Additional items included:

-new Soma Ensho saddle (black with yellow accent)
-used Shimano RSX aero brake levers
-complete yellow cork bar tape set
-5' of yellow brake cable housing
-pair of quick release skewers

Original, 1 owner, 1994 RB1 Bridgestone.

Has been framesaved internally, but the bike is well-used, has scratches, but no dings, rust holes or buckling.

Frame is aligned and straight. This would be great for a commuter or urban fixie. Great frameset for the cash.

Rear spacing is 130mm, fits modern equipment.

Bike comes with 27.0 zero offset seatpost and campy chorus threaded headset. I can also throw in a threadless adapter.

I don't like the looks of that TT, it could just be a lousy cell pic but i would certainly take a straightedge along to check it. otherwise it looks pretty clean, if it fits and is ready to roll $100 seems OK.

This is a rare Bottechia Teodoro Carnielli road bike. Handmade in Italy, beautiful lug work and outfitted with high end Dura Ace and Campagnolo components. This bike has recently been completely overhauled with new cables, tubes, fresh bar tape, and NOS Shimano gum hoods. Each component was selectively removed cleaned and polished. Here are the specs:

Frame size: 58
Cranks: Shimano Dura Ace
Front/Rear Brakes: Shimano Dura Ace
Brake Levers: Shimano Dura Ace
Front Derailleur: Huret
Rear Derailleur: Shimano 600
Headset: Campagnolo
Shifters: Campagnolo
Seatpost: Campagnolo
Stem: Cinelli 1A
Bars: 3TTT
Wheels: Super Champion (made in France)
Hubs: Phil Wood

The Bad:
The front left brake lever is bent, but still works fine (see picture). To make up for this, I will throw in an extra set of vintage campy levers.
The Brooks Swift saddle pictured is NOT included. But, if you want I can throw in an OLDER Brooks Swift saddle.

The wheels were also just rebuilt with all new spokes and nipples! This bike is super smooth, recently restored, and ready to roll.

Txt me if interested!

This is really cheap for a tandem, and i know how some people go crazy about their schwinn's, (i think it's an american thing, up here in canada schwinn's are not very desired or collected) Anyways it's cheap and yellow..

Gotta love that handlebar setup! Any idea what the cranks and rims are? Could be a sleeper.

Guerciotti Vintage Bike - $400 (Lone Tree Colorado)

First off, I am not a bike "techy" in any way. You may need to call me for more details. I bought this bike from the original owner in the early 80's. I think it is steel and the original paint scheme was yellow and white. Lots of modifications along the way but still the original campagnolo wheels. Frame perfect with no stress cracks. Should be a good restoration project or a awesome "fixy" Dave 303-xxx-xxxx

I have one just like it that had the same rust on the top tube (currently getting powder coated). Must be something about the paint on these. Nice bikes, though.
