Not vintage, but definitely has the classic look. (Asking price is $900)

https://scranton.craigslist.org/bik/2587771010.html

Gorgeous handbuilt Italian lugged steel. The frame was purchased new in 2000, and then built up from hand selected components. I used Chorus 10 spd because the polished jewel like finish that chorus offered at the time seemed to match the character of the frame better than the carbon fiber record gruppo. It also features a Thompson masterpiece seatpost, and mavic open pro wheels with chorus hubs, although I have different wheel choices available that we can talk about.

Tommasini handbuilds only about 2500 frames a year at their small workshop/factory in Italy. This model features Columbus tubing made of nivacrom steel, which is a modern twist on a classic design and material. You have to see the amazing chrome lugs and dropouts to appreciate them, they are works of art. The fork is chrome finished Tommasini Air steel.

The bike is perfect mechanically, and has only a few small paint chips, especially under the bottom bracket. Reply by email or call **********

huh?

[edit] ok, I googled it. Basically seems like a unicycle with training wheels. Isn't that sort of an oxymoron?

I was hoping to buy this but I guess I might as well post it now since it's gone higher than I'm willing to pay. 85ish Miyata Terra Runner. 3 hrs left and it's already over $350, seems like a lot of money. It started at 125 and I didn't even know if anyone else would bet. Who says vintage mountain bikes are cheap? This wasn't even their top model!

That bike is rather quirky, and I'm not sure it is in a good way. All that extra chain weight, which is bad in itself and doesn't help the rear derailleur, and that T seat post that forces changes to the geometry of the bike.

"Marks from removal" on the crank? I hope there aren't matching marks on the frame from the pry bar!

Probably still a great deal

Vintage Bianchi Road Bike - $600 (Brookline)

I am selling a vintage Bianchi road bike. It is too small for me and I think it is about time I get a bike that fits The bike is in excellent condition and was one of the top bikes of its time. I purchased it a year and a half ago and before I owned it, it had been sitting safe in a garage in the cape. The bike is 56 cm and has all Shimano 600 parts, the equivalent of Shimano Ultegra now. The bike has original parts except for the back wheel, which was replaced last year due to age. It weights around 28-30 pounds and was made in Italy. It is the smoothest ride ever and I am honestly sad to sell it, but I am a student and can't afford to keep it for its looks. Feel free to contact me with any questions.

60cm Schwinn Prelude Columbus frameset - $60

Date: 2011-09-10, 3:44PM EDT
Reply to: sale-2ee8r-2592054523@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]
Here's a frameset: it's a Schwinn Prelude from the late 80's. It measures 60cm from the bottom-bracket to the top tube so would be great for taller riders between 5'10" to 6'2". The frame has some scratches and rusting so would make for a great project bike. The tubing is Columbus so the bike is pretty light-weight.

The only components included are the derailleurs, shutters, stem, handlebar, seatpost and saddle. I've transferred the other components - wheels, brakes, levers and crankset - to another bike. Besides the cosmetic blemishes, the components are in great working order. Please feel free to call or txt me at (617) 955-2239. Thanks.

14 speed Bianchi road bike
Shifts perfectly, just tuned up.
Shimano derailers and brakes. Shifters on downtube.

The paint is dark blue with metallic flakes, it looks amazing in the sunlight.

Can deliver within Boston, email for details/info or more pictures.
