This parts bike is assembled from high quality, 80s-era components. It is in excellent, ride-it-away-today condition. Built around the classic and lightweight Schwinn Paramount Frame, components include Modolo brakes, (like G Lemond used to win the 1989 tour). Shimano 105 drive train (front and rear derailleurs and shift levers) Old school Look pedals (like G Lemond used to win the 1986 tour). Wheels have Sun CRT16 rims with Shimano 195 hubs. I paid $200 for it. Added another $25 recently to have it completely tuned up at Allis Bike shop. The $150 price is firm.

Not sure if the frame is truly a Paramount, though.

I guess people in Chicago don't want tubulars. This strikes me as a very good deal ($360) and has been up for a week. Not sure what a Brooks honeycomb saddle is. I suppose he means the color.

https://chicago.craigslist.org/wcl/bik/2587416738.html
Its a 23.5" 59cm frame with 33.5" standover. Included is a Honeycomb Brooks Professional saddle, Stronglight crankset, End bar shifters, Campagnolo Silca pump, Vintage leather seat bag, and the manual. Bike is a 1974. The tires are tubular/sew-ups and will need to be replaced sometime soon. Vintage original Simplex skewers also included. If you are interested in the bike call me at xxx

Just put me out of my misery, argh, dang, got three fiddy in my pocket but not $350, shoot, somebody snag this one please, price is high for Milwaukee so maybe the seller will deal, but looks like a deal as it sits at his price:

https://milwaukee.craigslist.org/bik/2598525967.html

Looking for a touring bike complete with racks and bags for your next expedition?

Here's a 1987 Schwinn Voyageur touring bike. Color is Imperial Rose. 23" frame with a 33"standover. Suggested rider height 5'8 - 5'11.

Features Columbus Tenax lugged frame tubing, Shimano Deore 18-speed indexed (click-shifting) drivetrain with downtube shifters and triple crank with alpine gearing (two closely spaced outer chainrings, one small granny inner chainring), DiaCompe cantilever brakes, and a Selle San Marco suede saddle.

Extras include Blackburn rear and lowrider front racks, six Voyageur touring bags (front and rear panniers, trunk bag, handlebar bag) and a brake hood mounted rear view mirror.

Full specs on table under 1987: https://sandro.knot.org/blog/wp-conte...comparison.pdf

Condition: Cosmetics: Frame has some chips and scratches. Components and bags have some surface wear. Saddle is somewhat imprinted from a long-mounted gel pad but should smooth out over time. Mechanicals: Rides, brakes and shifts well. I just installed new bar tape and shift cables. Ready to go!

$350 firm, cash only, local pickup only. No offers or trades please.

Thanks for looking, and have a great day!

59cm Marinoni Special Pista Frameset - $600 (02134 - Pomeroy Street)

Date: 2011-09-14, 11:10AM EDT
Reply to: sale-g9yhj-2592190208@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

One of my most favorite bikes I have ever owned is sadly getting parted out, as I have recently decided that 13 bikes is a few too many for my small apartment.

This frame is special, they just don't make them like this anymore. No, really, Mr. Marinoni is still building in Montreal today and he does not make them like this anymore. It is a lugged gem from the 90's.

This frame was one of the first out of the door in 1990, sporting the new decals (for the year) and gorgeous chrome accents throughout.

Just take a look at the photos here: https://velospace.org/node/26984

The highlights:
- Columbus SP tubing
- paint is in good-used shape, with a few chips here and there but overall it still looks great
- full chrome fork and rear triangle
- cast fork crown and lower headtube lug, "M" for Marinoni
- campagnolo track ends and fork dropouts
- campagnolo record headset and seatpost binder bolt
- comes with brand new decal set as well (if you ever would like to restore, as I once intended)

The frame is a rare find in this neck of the woods and truly a beautiful example of Mr. Marinoni's craftmanship.

Please email with any questions, thanks!

De Rosa Nuovo Classico - Restored: $2700, that's two thousand and seven hundred clams.... ouch

I think He smoked one too many bowls before posting that, but I could be wrong

That saddle does not look like a $2700 bike seat, and the Dura Ace parts (although good stuff) are not going to help with the price like Campagnolo would

It's a very clean bike though, and I am no De Rosa expert by any means

56cm Trek 600 Lugged 531 Road Bike - $325 (berkeley)

I'm moving and need to sell my Trek 600 road bike. It's in good condition; I recently bought it with the intention of upgrading some pieces, but it's been great for riding around. There's definite scratches and some rust from normal use for a bike of this age, but no dents or other structural damage. It has the original Shimano 600 components and of course the frame is light Reynolds 531 tubing. Also for sale is my Nishiki 1970's lugged steel bike (same size), search for "goodbyeberkeley" to find it.

17" c-t Ritchey Ultra from '86, '87, '88
This was one of the very best mountain bikes in the world when it was new. Tig welded Tange Prestige steel.
No dings, dents, buckles, or rust. It rides straight and true.
It's built up with a mix of parts from the late 80's to the early 90's. 7 speed index bartop shifters, Suntour XCD rear derailleur, Deerhead XT front derailleur, Deore DX hubs, Sugino LP crank. Currently has street semi-slick 26x1.5 tires. Tuned and smooth riding. The bike needs nothing. I'm sorry to see it go, but it's a little too small for me.

Local pick-up, cash only.
Entertaining cash offers
I'll take this ad down when it sells.

Schwinn Mos Sierra 21 speed 100$ obo - $100 (albany / el cerrito)

Date: 2011-09-16, 1:13PM PDT
Reply to: https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/bik/2602200450.html
Hello~

I've for sale a Schwinn Mos Sierra 50cm frame.I think. I am 5'1 and it fits me. All the original parts as when I bought the bike back in 1990 which was one of the last years made in the USA and still made in Chicago at time of purchase.
I bought the bike from a dealer in South Bend, In. I brought the bike out from Michigan to California. It has always been more of a commuter bike for me, living in Ann Arbor and other collage towns. Not ever been into Mt. Biking and out here scares me. Brought it to Burningman in 2008 & brought home, cleaned up, had a tune
up. (last tune up in 08) I've rode it around for a bit afterwards but decided that I need a road bike out here and not a heavy bike mountain bike. I am not use to these California hills and mts.
~ am asking 100$ which i think might be fair (?) but will be willing to take best offer, granted the offer is fair or maybe even some sort of trade.
The spec's on the bike that i found on line.

Frame: Schwinn M.O.S. Tri-Butted (Cr-Mo) tubes w/ oversize head, seat and chainstays, 16.7" G-Force chainstays
Fork: Tange/Schwinn G-Force Cr-Mo w/ 800mm radius. OS Blades
Rims: Ritchey Vantage 26"
Hubs: Shimano Exage 400LX
Quick Release: Shimano 400LX
Tires: (Factory) Schwinn KOM skinwall
Pedals: (Factory) "MTB Steel w/ Toe Jammer clips.
Crank: Shimano 400LX, Biopace Chainrings (28/38/48T)
Chain: Factory (my chain has always skipped in high gears, even after tune ups) I don't know why.
Freewheel: Shimano HyperGlide Cassette, 7-Speed, 13-30T
Front Derailleur: Shimano Exage 400LX HyperGlide, SIS
Rear Derailleur: Shimano Exage 400LX HyperGlide, SIS
Shifters: (Factory) Shimano 500LX.
Handlebars: (Factory) Schwinn 25.4 Team Issue Cr-Mo (flat w/ 6* bend)
Grips: (Factory) Foam. (needs new ones)
Stem: Schwinn M.O.S. Team Issue Cr-Mo, Internal cable guide.
Headset: Tioga Avenger OS, Sealed.
Brake set: Shimano 500LX-SLR
Brake levers: Integrated w/ Shimano ST-EF50 Shifters
Saddle: Schwinn MTB, Emerald Skin
Seat Post: DP-K, 350mm, Schwinn QR-Pin
Paint: Red w/ Black Spider
Size: 15" or 16" (I am only 5'1") or 50cm

1987 Schwinn Prologue

https://phoenix.craigslist.org/cph/bik/2602859870.html

Good condition 60cm frame measured to the top of the seat tube. Just a few nicks and some light corrosion where the paint has come off. Completely solid road bike with an amazing smooth ride. Nitto 55 bars and Mavis MA40 rims, otherwise full Shimano Dura Ace.

The frame is Tange Prestige. Here is a link to the geometry https://www.trfindley.com/flschwinn_1...0/1988_04.html

Looking for a 19"-20" high quality steel mountain bike frame with rim brake mounts and 1 1/8 head tube. Preferably single speed ready. Feel free to offer a trade plus cash.
