Looks like a 1984 which was a good year for the 520, it went to sport-tourer status without cantilevers for a couple years after. Nice geometry, and good cyclone mkii components if they're stock, but it has 27" wheels with a helicomatic rear hub, only one water bottle mount, no mid-fork eyelets.

May be a fair price if it's all tuned up and ready to go but not a smoking deal. I just sold a 49cm version of the exact same bike without a rear rack for $175 a couple weeks ago. I thought it was worth more but it depends on your area.

Lovely top end Peugeot UO9 racer from 1978, this was one of Peugeots earlier line of racers, the bike only came in this stunning almost electric blue colour.

It has nice chrome tipped front forks, extra large flanges with Normandy hubs and Rigida rims.

There are Weinmann dual brake levers with centre pull calliper brakes.
The Simplex gear changers are mounted at the top of the stem rather than the frame, with 5 Simplex gears and Stronglight crank.

The price caught my attention. Is a bike of this age in this condition worth the 220 asking price?
Undistinguished Pug. Steel rims. Not even close to "top end", at least four bikes above it in the Pug line and little below it.

WOrth about 150 US, maybe, in top line condition. Less if it's carbolite steel, that took a hard to find 24.0 seatpost.

Way overpriced, that's about double a reasonable price. Unless the UK market is drastically different than over here, that's what we call a "crack pipe" price.

I think the London market is at play here.

Fuji steel road bike. Frame is from the 80's but all components have been upgraded. Also recently got a tune-up and got a new chain, new rear derailleur, new tires and new brakes. It's a great bike and I've taken it on numerous bike tours, but I was ready for an upgrade and just got a new bike Probably best for someone 5'6-5'9

Steel bike
Front derailleur- Shimano Deore LX
Rear derailleur- Shimano Sora
Crankset- Deore LX
Brake Levers- Tektro
Shimano bar end shifters
Comes with rear rack!

Make me an offer!

1991 Bridgestone RB T - $400 (Attleboro)

Reply to: sale-qqxsp-2627475355@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]
Hello all. Sorry no photos. I have a 1991 Bridgestone RB T touring bike for sale. 54cm center to center seat tube, 56cm center to center top tube. It is not all original. I have upgraded it to use more modern components. Such as having the frame professionally spread from original 126mm to 135mm, so modern wheels can be used. It includes a front and rear rack, V brakes, a frame pump, and fenders. 48cm Nitto noddle bars, Shimano Deore hubs, Alex Adventurer rims, WTB saddle, ready to commute or load up with your camping gear and take off for a weekend or longer. Any questions, just ask. Thanks for reading.

1992 Bridgestone RB-2 50cm - $275 (Brookline)

Reply to: sale-4cem2-2636392324@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]
1992 Bridgestone RB-2 in good working condition. 50cm/ ~29inch standover. New 7sp Shimano cassette, chain, toestraps, Tektro brakes and Tektro brake levers (this was set up as a hybrid when I purchased) and tires, wheels recently trued. Drive-side crank extractor threads partially stripped (only really affects you if you want to change cranksets). Paint/decals rough in some places but is only cosmetic. Selling because it's a touch small for me and I need to build up a winter bike.

See https://www.sheldonbrown.com/bridgestone/ for details; really nice light Triple-butted Ishiwata CroMo frame. Same geometry as the RB-1. $275 cash

There are only around 5 in this color known in the US making this bike very desirable!

Not to mention this one has been upgraded with Mavic Open Pro rims and dura ace 9 speed INDEXED shifters to run and 18 speed drive train makes this a real diamond! It has Ultegra hubs and tri color 600 derailuers and brakes. Japanese Tang 1 frame! Bike will be packed by my local bike shop for shipping most likely in two boxes with the rims separate but I will leave that up to my bike shop.

I guess I am behind the times. I read 18 speed and my immediate reaction after looking at the pictures was:

This seller is either a liar or has problems counting, that's a double crank, not a triple.. what is this BS?

9 x 2 = 18 I am not a liar... it has been upgraded to Dura Ace indexed downtube shifters with a 9 speed cassette on the back.

Wait, you're the seller? That's sort of a faux pas to post one of your own items here.

I understand that. That's just my initial reaction any time I see "18 speed" written in an ad because I like mid 80s touring bikes (usually came stock as 18 speed with a triple and 6 speed freewheel). I'm stuck in the 80s bike-technology-wise, I thought it was amusing, I guess I was wrong!
