Austro Daimier made a range, but the bottom of the range was badged under Puch. Don't know if they made a straight gage frame with the A-D label.

I believe this to be the 19" frame which makes it perfect for a smaller rider. The bike is in overall excellent shape and is rideable as is but could use a good tune up to get the gears shifting perfectly.

I recently put some new tubes, tires, and bar wrap on it... everything else is original!

- Rare Extra Large 62cm Old School Japanese Touring Bike - $150

Date: 2011-10-28, 8:00AM EDT
Reply to: sale-3ahq3-2669497849@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

It's a fully-lugged Japanese 62cm (24") triple-butted Ishiwata tubing Nashbar Toure Alpha 5000.

It's "triple triangle" style (think GT). The GT shape and the lugs are a unique combination.

Triple crankset. Not the seat that goes with it. Needs bar end shifters.

Triple crankset. Dropouts are horizontal. Includes rear rack.

It's in very nice condition, superb for a long distance cycle tourer, but also excellent as a daily commuter

$150 cash.

My sister called me about this one.

She lives in the area.

Little small, and I'd really only want the frameset.

Saw another one tonight though that wound my binder.

Waiting for permission.

I've been fighting the urge. Sweet bike with Reynolds 853, and nicely outfitted. M.S.R.P. of $1,595 in 1999. It was concidered a racing/triathalon bike, but I am a touring bike kind-of-guy. Still waiting for that $50 Schwinn Voyageur, mid-'80s Specialized Expedition, Bianchi Volpe, etc.
I'll find it

BTW, looks like we now know where they got the color scheme for the 2010 LeTour Legacy...

DeRosa Road Frame & Fork - Nice! - $250 (JP)

Date: 2011-10-29, 12:10AM EDT
Reply to: sale-btjh8-2674525624@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]
This is an Italian made De Rosa road frame and fork.

Size is 61cm seat tube measured center to top, and 58.5cm top tube, measured center to center.

Will fit riders 5ft 10in to 6ft 2in, depending on your body proportions.

Very nice lug work, with a chromed, semi-sloping fork crown.

Features horizontal-style rear Campy dropouts. Will make a great fixie.

No dings, dents or rust. Very solid.

Needs a paint job and decals to look really good - its been repainted, but not very well.

Email Dan if interested. Thanks for looking!

Local CL is terrible for good quality bikes, so I was excited when I saw this a few minutes ago. Then I noticed the "firm price" and didn't even bother contacting him. Seems like $200 too high, right?

Well, I contacted the seller and bought this one yesterday. It appears to be entirely original save for the stupid Shimano shifter and is a pre-Raleigh bike like my other Hercules. It has no rust, but the clear on the paint is peeling off in spots. Not sure what to do about that. I'll post pics later... Gotta love those old English 3-speeds!

On another note, does anyone know of a serial database for Hercules bikes? It is frustrating that I have not been able to find a good source for dating the ages of these bikes, though there seems to have been a point at which they started giving the bikes names instead of letter/number combinations.

Indeed I am glad too, and thanks for posting it here... Yesterday stunk for traveling from Central MD to Philly, but I took the opportunity to make the bike expo, so all worked out well enough. If I get off the silly computer, I'll go and get some pics.

Oh wow. Somebody near Cleveland better snap this up.

https://cleveland.craigslist.org/bik/2671051608.html

I've had a bridgestone bike in my basement for the past several years. I got it at an estate sale about 20 years ago. I don't know much about it, but I'm moving and I've never ridden it- I guess it's a promotional thing by the tire company. Says "RB-1" on the upper bar. this looks like a men's bike but looks kind of small.
First $20 takes it.
