Vintage Murray Mens 10 Speed Racing Bike - $35 (Circleville)

Reply to: jrzkp-2881819590@sale.craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

Murray Mens 27" 10 speed racing bike. Dark green with ivory accents. I believe this bike to be circa 1970's. It's in good condition for its age-needs a good cleaning. It has a Mesinger saddle, Shimano back derailleur which needs to be adjusted, and a Thunderbird front derailleur. Curved handlebars. Brakes function and the tires hold air. Has BMA/6 safety sticker. It's missing a nut where the rear wheel mounts to the frame. Model # M26270 236125. Asking $35. If interested, please send an email response with your phone number. I won't reply to emails asking if the item is still available-too many scams. Thanks for looking!

Orange Schwinn World Voyageur frame, fork, headset.
Paint is in pretty good shape, considering age.
No dents or dings. Some few small scratches and chips, but it's completely chrome-plated beneath the paint.

That one's neat. Good luck! Love the orange... would go sweet with the Shimano Arabesque.

How about this one? Early 70's 24" Raleigh Record 10 speed. Looks to be all original minus saddle and tires.
Worth the price?

56cm 1988 Cannondale Black Lightning - rare, excellent condition - $250 (Chelmsford, MA)

Reply to: 8f9n5-2901065540@sale.craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]
This is a rare, fantastic bike from Cannondale, the Black Lightning Special Edition from 1988. The paint still looks nice, and it rides like a dream. It needs nothing more than some air in the tires, and then it's ready to ride. 56cm will fit someone 5'10 to 6ft comfortably. A top-notch and stylish way to get into cycling with this classic Cannondale.

$250 or best offer, cash only.

This looks like a great deal to me - Raleigh alyeska frame, $100

https://philadelphia.craigslist.org/bik/2901577098.html

for sale, a lovely Raleigh Aleyska touring frame in great condition. beautiful burgundy/wine paint job, gold pinstriping around the lugs, and all original decals in good condition. nice Raleigh pantograph on fork crown and tops of seatstays.. takes 27in wheels, though i've heard that the bosses can accommodate 700c wheels with certain brakes, though i don't know which ones. made of 'raleigh 555' steel, with the normal wear marks and a few cosmetic rust spots in the normal places for a vintage frameset. comes with all shown, including headset, bb, and sugino triple crankset, and seatpost. if you have any questions or need additional info, please contact me! thanks for looking!

frame measures:
top tube c-c : 56cm
seat tube c-c : 58cm
i'm 6ft, and this fit me well..

Vintage Bicycle Holdsworth Professional Collectors Dream - $350 (Encinitas)
Date: 2012-03-12, 6:38PM PDT
Reply to: qhmpg-2899114652@sale.craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]
It is with great regret that I have to part with my Dad's old bike.
This Holdsworth Professional was originally made in England I think in 1978. I was 7 years old and remember my dad being very excited.

I found this link to Holdsworth Bikes: https://homepage.ntlworld.com/nkilgar...ofessional.htm

The frame is Reynolds 531 Double Butted 21inch 81 degree (I think) racing frame, Chrome Forks, beautiful lugs, no welding can be seen.
All original decals and paintwork but as you would expect it needs some TLC. As it is it's rideable, gears shift smoothly, block and bottom bracket are as smooth as ever.
Will need new tires (old tubs are currently on) and to fix slightly buckled wheels.

Campagnolo circa 1970's quick release hubs are smooth as silk.
Modolo brakes work as good as new.
Suntour rear durealler.

I've kept this bike for sentimental reasons but it's time to sell the old girl. This is a beautiful collectors bike and will make a fanatic VERY happy indeed.

Serious inquiries only please.

Jonathan

Encinitas area.

81? that is steeper than a Rigi and they are considered steep at 78 and 79

Seems a little high to me BG, and I've seen it listed a few times. I think $100 is more fair.

If the frame and fork are straight and the pain is in as good of condition that it looks (hard to tell on my tiny little chromebook)...

...if it fits and you are in a market where bikes tend to run high and there is a lot of demand for this sort of thing...

-then yes.

It'd have already sold if it were in Chicago and it were a little smaller. Buh-bye. It'd sell for $150 pretty quickly. Maybe even for even more. But giant-sized? I suppose if someone were a giant and was looking for a classic Raleigh in 531 they'd have to look and wait for a long time. What's it worth to ya?
