Depends on what your times worth. Im sure Portland is a strong market and these look like there ready to go. You could find bikes like those for 75-150 if your lucky then rebuild it yourself.

I'm going to disagree slightly with the above...neither bikes are a steal, but the first one is solid and the second is OK-fair. The prices on Shimano 600 and upper-mid level Japanese bikes is climbing...people are getting the memo and are realizing that these are great bikes for the dollar. No - neither is a steal, but in a hot bike market like Portland, I think that's pretty good on the first one. I feel confident that I could get near that price in Philadelphia and Portland is, supposedly, a better market.

I wonder who made it? Tange tubing...MIJ...from the looks, I'm thinking Univega or maybe whoever was doing the Stumpjumpers.
I'm having the same dialogue in my head. Thankfully I made enough last year I have to pay. Cupboards are bare, otherwise I'd be jumping.

Univega 80's touring bike - $225 (Durango, CO)

This is a Univega Gran Turismo touring bike. Size: 56cm. I believe it to be of late 80's vintage, and it really is quite a nice bike. Many of the components are stock and in good condition. The crankset has been replaced with a Specialized mountain bike crankset of similar vintage, and the wheels have been rebuilt with Sun CR18 rims.

It will accept a rack and would make a stellar around town or touring bike for someone 5'8" to 6' or so.

Asking $225

Call Eric at 9seven0 769 17nine1 or email me here.

I think there is a low demand for very small bikes. If this were a 54, 56, or 58 it would sell for $400-600. American made frame it a highly regarded shop. Don't appear to be any
condition problems other then some chipped paint. Hopefully your brother is under 125 pounds.

Yeah, smallish is generous. I'm gonna pass on this. I'm down to a lean mean two bikes (ok, and one frame); one roadie and one commuter. Trying my best to keep it that way...

For all you giants out there, here's a beautiful Fuji you don't see everyday. Plus clincher and tubular wheel sets!
=====================================================================
1985 Fuji Designers series 63cm Professional Road Bike, Dura-Ace 22lbs - $800 (SE Portland-Tigard)

Up for grabs is a shed fresh example of a 1985 63cm Fuji Designer Series, with Shimano Dura Ace 7400 Series Components with both clincher and tubular wheelsets. This bike was retrieved from a gentleman's shed, where it had hung for the last 20+ years unridden. This man purchased this bike after seeing Mark Gorski win Sprint Track Gold in the 1984 Olympics and was inspired to start racing. Being only sold as a frameset, the bike was a full custom build, which he chose to complete with a Dura-Ace 7400 groupset. He mentioned that this cost over $3000 to build, which now would be close to $6300. The bike weighs 22 pounds with a light seat and the clincher rims, which is comparable to the lightest modern steel bikes you can build today.

Full Part List
Frame Set: February 1985 Serial Fuji Designer Series (see catalogue scans for full specs)
Headset/BB: Dura-Ace 7400 Series
Brakesura-Ace 7400 Series
Brake Levers: Dia-Compe AGC
Shifters: Dura-Ace 7401 Series
Derailleurs: Dura-Ace 7401 (7 speed Rear)
Clincher Wheelset: Mavic MA40 Rims, Wheelsmith Spokes, Specialized Hubs, Sunshine Skewers and 7 speed Dura-Ace Freewheel. Original latex tubes!
Tubular Wheelset: Mavic GP-4 Rims, Wheelsmith Spokes, Dura-Ace 7400 Series Hubs, Dura-Ace Skewers and 7 speed Dura-Ace Freewheel
Chain: Dura-Ace 7400 UniGlide (chain has been checked for stretch and may as well be new)
Crankset: Dura-Ace 7400
Seat Post: Suntour Superbe
Stem/Bars: Cinelli (long stem)
The bike has been barely ridden, fewer than 500 miles is a generous estimate, so all the components are in excellent physical and mechanical shape. Paint is glossy and not faded, it does have scratches and chips, the worst of which are pictured on the bottom bracket and chain stay. Chrome parts have some light surface rusting that will clean off easily. The frame is fully chromed under the paint, so you won't have to worry about chips getting rusty. It did come out of a shed so it dusty and dirty in the crevices, but has been given a wipe down.

I have pumped the tires up and given it a ride around the block and it is a solid bike.

Shoot me an email and I will get back right away, can arrange to show the bike in SE during the evenings or at my work in Tigard.

57cm Eddy Merckx for trade c record delta (RVA)

Date: 2012-04-13, 7:35AM EDT
Reply to: see below [Errors when replying to ads?]

57 CM Eddy Merckx 10th anniversary bike. This bike has Columbus TSX tubing, a fairly full Campagnolo C record group, missing only seatpost and pedals. With Delta brakes. There are flaws in the bike, most all of which are documented in these photos.

https://s872.photobucket.com/albums/a...%20anniversay/

Yes, that seat was on the bike when found.

I would prefer to trade this bike for something similar that fits me a bit better. I would do bike for bike trades or frame for frame trades. I normally ride a 62cm. Colnago, DeRosa, Masi, small Italian builders of quality, small American builders, that sort of thing. Or a Tom Kellogg built Ross.

You can call or text me at xxx xxx xxxx. I no longer do emails via CL as there are way to many spam and phishing emails filling my box when I post an ad.
