Vintage (circa early 80's) frame built by (then) Somerville builder Ed Blank. He built bikes under his Bella Bikes name. Frame is made of reynolds 531 with very nice heart-shaped cutouts and details. It is currently built up with a mix of high-end components including Campagnolo Nuovo Record derailleurs, Sugino Super Mighty Cranks, etc. It measures 53cm (ctc) seat tube and 54cm top tube, with a 31" standover height. It rides very well - nimble and quick, and would make a nice single speed/fixed gear, if desired. I'd prefer to sell only the frame with the Dura Ace headset and unknown bottom bracket for $100 obo, but will sell it with other parts depending on your needs. If interested, please email a number and good time to call. Bike is in Wakefield, but showing in the cambridge area might be possible. Thanks

If it were my size (way too big for me), local, and I were looking I would be all over it for $490!!!! Lighthouse frames were built in Santa Cruz, CA by Tim Neenan. I believe he went on to become one of the early frame designers at Specialized.

The only knock I can see is the non-original fork (and those ugly pedals).

You will. Tesch bikes are not that expensive on the resale market. 101 frames in desirable sizes are like 300-400.

I always thought they were way cool, but they don't have mass appeal. Probably the super steep ST angles and fork rake.

Selling a gently used Ironman Expert bike made by Centurion. About 20 y/o but still in great condition. Chrome moly frame with chrome moly forks. The gearset is 14 speed. Comes with clip in pedals and Cateye trip computer.
Also included is a Zefal pump that fits to the frame. Frame is 52 CM, (I am 5' 6"and it seating is fine for me.) Had it tuned up about 18 months ago, with new tires (Bontrager). Includes 2 bottle holders and small seat pack to hold tube and repair kit.

Gearset is by Suntour GPX model.
Seat is in working order, but the covering might have to be replaced, and that is all this bike needs.

Any questions, just email me. Thanks....

22" Shogun 1000 high-end 12speed old school road bike for sale. 31" stand over (I'm 5'9 fits me well). Frame is in really nice condition with a few minor dings and scratches. Shifts and brakes well. One small flaw, the rear wheel is missing a spoke and wobbles slightly, but is totally rideable. I will get it fixed if wanted but will charge extra for it. $190 is the price. Cash only, Pick up only. Medford near Davis Square / Powderhouse / Tuffs

There have been lots of recent threads about bikes for kids. This one is really tempting, but my daughter is still several years away for being able to ride this bike (and she'd probably want me to repaint it pink ). It's nice that it already has short-reach brakes and a triple crankset.

[h=2]44cm Vintage Small TREK *Reynolds 531* triple 18speed (fits 4'11-5'1) - $550 (mission district)[/h]

Date: 2012-07-17, 8:36AM PDT

Vintage lightweight steel lugged 1987 44cm Black & Red Trek Elance 400 Roadbike with a Made in the USA frameset constructed with with 531 Reynolds tubing, gorgeous original 2 color fade paintjob in great condition, fancy lugs, a Trek logo pantogram in headtube, a Trek Logo pantogram in seat tube lug, an old school Trek headbadge, 700c Matrix wheels, sealed bearing Malliard hubs, Shimano brakes & Shimano Deore derailers built for climbing, indexed Shimano shifters, 18 speeds, grooved seat post, new pedals w cages, Specialized Pro/ Conti 4000 high end tires, and a 80's curvy Selle San Marco Saddle.

Special smaller features include:
165mm crankset, triple 52/42/32 chainrings, with a large 12-28 rear freewheel for extra gearing/ climbing capacity
60mm short stem

smaller 37cm bars
28 inch stand over height.)

44cm size:
44cm seattube center to center
46cm seattube center to top
(fits riders 4'11"-5'1")

A great choice for the smaller rider looking for a vintage lugged frame made with high-end durable Reynolds 531 frame and 700c wheels with a very low 28 inch stand over height. Bike feels wonderful. Brakes stop great, gears shift excellent, wheels are true and freewheel and chain rings are in great condition. Steel frames with Reynolds 531 offer an extremely nice ride quality. ...These vintage lugged Treks in this kind of condition with added gearing don't come around too often. Eyelets for front and rear racks. Great for "all around/ all day long riding", light touring, and general purpose riding/ commuting. Made in USA. Kids?

My friend rides a 46cm Surly Cross-Check and it is still a bit large for her. She could have used the 42cm version if she could have found one used. This would be about perfect. It's a bit pricey though. I suppose SF bike prices are even more crazy than Chicago.

=================================================

[h=2]1991 Pinarello Prologo Time Trial "Funny" Bike - HED - Mavic - $1050 (Inner NE)[/h]
I'm moving at the end of the month and it would be best if I didn't take all of my bicycles with me. So, up for your consideration is this is exceptional example of a Prologo, in what was by far the neatest color scheme offered.

As legend has it, the first owner of this machine was sponsored by Mavic, and the bike sports a nearly complete Mavic group, including the "Starfish" crank, front and rear derailleurs, brake levers and calipers, pedals (LOOK compatible), front hub & rim, and time trial bars. Shimano 600 shifters and freewheel. Stem is 3ttt, seatpost is a Campagnolo aero post, and the saddle is a pristine Selle Italia Rolls.

The disc wheel is a period-correct HED carbon model. As a bonus, I have the adapter to use the disc as a track wheel.

This bike is worthy of display as a piece of art. It would look right at home hanging from the ceiling of River City. That being said, I'm able to ride it comfortably (it is a blast to ride) and I'm a normally proportioned 6'0-6'1. The seat tube measures 58, c-c, and the top tube is about 53.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

For $20, it's a steal even if the hubs don't work. Looks like the original Brooks B-72 saddle is still there underneath that tractor seat monstrosity.

Sweet coaster brakes batman. We don't see too many of those around here. The front dynohub is awesome too.

As for getting the hubs to work, the rear is a snap -coaster brake or no. Rebuilding a SA 3-speed hub is easier than doing a bottom bracket IMHO. It's like a lego set -nothing to it. Hardest thing is getting the ball-ring off. One of these days I'm going to buy one of those wrenches rather than using the punch and hammer method.

I think the answer here any way so far is no. Looks like a zillion other bikes that sell for $100 in Boston.

A 26"-wheeled Huffy is a 26"-wheeled Huffy. Maybe someone can use it to build a tall bike or something. Get out the welder...

Yeah, I think the Huffy Aerowind falls more into the "curiosity" category rather than "collectible" or even "desireable".

Like putting a "Sport" decal on a Pinto.
