56cm top tube c-c

Sticker on chainstay indicating repainted by "Southwest Frameworks". Paint is in very good condition, only a few small nicks from storage.

While those bikes are kind of difficult to find, and a keeper because they were the first mass produced CF bike, but they had problems with the bonding process used to secure the tubes to the lugs and would fail after just a short time riding. Do an internet search on this bike and the problems were abundant.

That is one weird bike, interesting frame with some neat components jumbled together in a way that doesn't make a whole lot of sense... Is the seller just trying to entice a collector to take the frame?

People have paid more, a lot more, for abstract splashes of paint on a canvas and called it art...... For the money, this would look fantastic, hanging on somebody's wall ! Heck, if it doesn't sell soon, I might just buy it and hang it on MY wall !

I guess because of the lousy internet inmy current location I am having trouble seeing the full listings but I stumbled across these today

2 Bianchi Ti Megatube frames, these are the one with the huge 'coffin' shaped airfoild DT

https://www.ebay.com/itm/1998-Bianchi...06%26rk%3D1%26

Well there is another one of these but I can't even open the listing.

[h=2]Zeus Track Bike - 70's - pista, campy - 55 cm - $675 (Kutztown, PA 19530)[/h]

Date: 2012-08-07, 10:40PM EDT

I have for sale my beautiful Zeus track bike from the early 70's (possibly maybe late 60's). The bike has been well kept, but is a rider's bike and is not perfect. It hasn't been ridden in years. I no longer race at the velodrome, I had this bike and a Guerciotti (sold).

The components are as follows:

Cinella Pista track stem & bars (stem has some wear rub from being improperly adjusted by previous owner)
Zeus Hubs Laced to Mavic GEL 280 sew-up rims. (tubulars need to be replaced)
Campagnolo Cranks w/ Duralumin chainring (52), Zeus BB & HS.
Zeus Seatpost w/ Velo seat
Shimano 600 track pedals.

The lock ring is missing from the rear hub, and there is a ding in the dropout from a fall on the track.

Overall the bike is a beauty. You won't find another like it.

I'm asking $675.00 firm, I have an offer on ebay of similar, but would rather sell it locally than ship. Offer expires soon, if you are interested, the time is now. I work 3rd shift so I am around all day and most of evening.

This is getting old...the folks here are pretty sharp cookies and we don't need the editorializing. That is an interesting bike - and it's an important bike, ridden or not. If someone is concerned about it, they won't buy it.

This is an extremely rare "chainless" shaft-drive bicycle built in 1902. It has original saddle and wooden rims (they are brown wood, not rusty). The shaft drive works fine and is ready for any collector. As you can see in the pictures, the front brake assembly needs repair. I am hoping to find a real enthusiast to take this off my hands, I just don't have time to deal with it.

Yeah, ok. I don't know either. . my first "real" road bike (stolen) was something like this one: https://washingtondc.craigslist.org/d...174300514.html

I've half a mind to call my cousin (lives near Georgetown) to check it out. But he just got back from training (EOD),

Copied from the Facilitators thread....
Hi All,

Looking for someone that can help me with an antique bike in Dobbs Ferry area, New York....Its on the CL finds thread...a 1900's Shaft drive antique. Seller cannot ship, so I'm hoping someone can pick up and ship this unique bicycle. I have already worked with KonAaron Snake if you'd like a reference......Time/Gas compensation is offered for sure. Slammin,

Antiques like this are always my size !

The Shaft Drive bicycle fascinates me, and I would enjoy preserving and or restoring such a piece of cycling history. Wood rim bicycles in general capture my interest. Please understand that I am collector and restorer as well as a rider. These old timers have a wonderful aura and I am going to add this one to my collection if at all possible.

When I retire I plan to have these antiques and classics on display. In the meantime I hope to preserve a few and ride them at special events.

In fact the recently purchased 1913 Mead Ranger will hopefully get ridden (after full inspection) at the upcoming Las Vegas Gran Fondo ride in late Sept ! A lot people love seeing these antique bikes and I love to be able to share them !

Slammin,

Left a "Visitor Msg" on your profile page. Yes, I have been in contact with seller and have a purchase all set up, pending facilitation. Thanks for posting on this.

here is that other Ti Megatube Bianchi. I still can't seem to open much of anything on ebay

There is also what looks like a '87 Volpe posted that seems to be a 53ish frame and appears to have been modified to Shimano index barends rather than the OEM suntour friction.
