That's the one that was $50 on Baltimore CL a few weeks back. I just missed it. It's now being flipped.

Cheap way to enter into the world of 650B. I believe it is an 84 and not an 87.

1987 Raleigh MountainTour - $20 (Ann Arbor)

I have a well used 1987 Raleigh MountainTour. I'm 5'11" and it fits me well. Most moving parts have been replaced at some time or another.

Will consider any reasonable offer

1974 Ellis Briggs. Small, beautiful, expensive.

https://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/bik/3234253695.html

1974 - 75 Ellis Briggs frame bought from Cyclecraft in Portland, OR in 1974 or 75 (can't remember exact date), built up with Campagnolo NR parts, less than 1000 miles on it, I'm the original owner. Frame is Reynolds 531 frame and fork with Campagnolo drop outs with fender eyelets, seat tube approx 19.5" (49.5cm) ctc or 20.0" (50.8cm) ctt, top tube approx 21.5" (54.6cm) ctc, angles are relaxed touring geometry. The bike is in excellent condition and comes with another set of vintage Weinmann rims and Stella spokes. Asking $1800. This post is brief on purpose, more information on the history of the bike and photos are available. Reply with a local phone number if you're interested and want to see the bike or get more information, if you're not local, your reply must include some kind of credible contact information or you won't hear from me.

I'm 5'8'' but I don't think I can ride this one... cheap Trek 520 in Boston

Brand: TREK bike

The bike has a really excellent rear view mirror for safe riding in the city. The bike may need some new tires but that is up to you.

Minor problem: The rear brake does not work. A piece fell off of it when I was moving it out from the basement. I still have the piece but I can't figure out how to fix it. I am sure it wouldn't take much to figure it out. You can still ride the bike in the city with the front break working in perfect condition.

Cash only please!

Yeah, probably too tall for me and probably not there anymore at that price no matter the size, but I thought I'd at least try for more information. I swear I saw that ad a couple of weeks ago.

Awesome early 80's ross mt hood mountain bike, it has a 18 ½ inch seat tube and a 21 inch top tube, lugged steel frame built from Ishiwata 024 tubing and one piece bull moose handle bars/stem. Dia-comp cantilever brakes with large motocross stile dia-comp levers, suntour power thumb shifters. Sakae CR triple crankset, suntour alpine gear front and rear derailer. This is probably one of the first production mountain bikes from the early 80's. This thing would make an awesome winter commuter or utility bike.

--- $160 ---

Trades ins considered

I can meet at ether trevose or neshaminy falls stations on the R3 line if you need to take the train

I'm guessing 501 is the tubing or maybe a transposed 510. Or could be a 510 with 501 tubing.

Not sure if this has been listed here yet, but its been posted for weeks now:

[h=2]VINTAGE 84 SCHWINN PASSAGE:CUSTOM TOURING BIKE - $350 (SPRINGFIELD DELCO)[/h]

Date: 2012-08-28, 9:31PM EDT

Great condition! Just got a tune up, plus new sprockets and tires.
28" tires. 14 gears. Very light weight.

OFFERS WILL BE CONSIDERED, BUT LOW BALL OFFERS WILL NOT BE ACKNOWLEDGED.

Hard to find in this great condition. Similar bikes go for $500.00 -900.00 on ebay and amazon.

The only negative is, it's missing the kickstand. Not sure what happened to it (it was my dad's bike) but we always hung it up anyway. Easy and inexpensive to get one put on.

Here is a link with additional info: ( https://www.trfindley.com/flschwinn_1...986Ltwt17.html )

***IMPORTANT*** MUST PROVIDE A PHONE NUMBER FOR ME TO REPLY!

CASH/LOCAL BUYERS ONLY.

IF YOU PLAN TO DO A TEST RIDE (ENCOURAGED) I WILL ASK THAT YOU TO GIVE ME THE FULL AMOUNT FOR THE BIKE WHILE YOU RIDE IT.
ALL MONEY WILL BE RETURNED IF THE BIKE IS NOT PURCHASED, AND IS NOT DAMAGED IN ANY WAY.

IF YOU SEE THIS POST, IT IS STILL AVAILABLE.

THANK YOU!

looks like he dropped the price today to $250

Got word last night that he'd sold it but never got an actual size out of him. If the seat tube was really 32", he must have sold it to a giant. I can't imagine he meant it was a 32" standover.

I'm not seeing that. The one in Ardmore or the one in Maryland?

I'm actually looking at something today as a parts donor. I only want a few things, but the price makes it very feasible.

[h=2]Waterford 1200, Reynolds 753 frame - $280 (Arlington-Cambridge)[/h]

Date: 2012-08-29, 11:15AM EDT

This is a candy apple red beauty of a frame, if you like steel it doesn´t get much better than Waterford, and the Reynolds 753 stuff is rare and light (this large lugged frame weights around 3.7 lbs, not bad at all for steel). The reason this is rare is that Reynolds demanded a special certification for builders to work with 753, and there were only a bunch of manufacturers using it. This is a great riding frame that always attracts attention, and I would keep if I could make it fit, the seat tube is 55 cm, perfect for me, but the top tube is 61 cm, so this is for someone with a long torso or arms or someone who likes to go long and low. It was custom made in the first place, that´s the reason for the somewhat odd dimensions. The paint has a few nicks here and there but still shines and looks great, there is a very small dent in the seat tube from an overtightened derailleur, but is hard to get in the pictures and it will be covered by the derailleur anyway. Let me know if you have questions, emails with a phone number are best.

This is a small frameset (I have the headset somewhere, I´ll find it for the buyer), 52cm, good for someone around 5´3´´ to 5´9´´, a little small for me unfortunately. It´s made of the legendary Reynolds 531 steel, built in Waterloo, WI, and the quality of construction is awesome for a production bike. According to Sheldon Brown, these early Treks put to shame many of the fancy Italian steel bikes of the time. Let me know if you have questions, cash and carry only, scammers need not apply.

I'm actually looking at something today as a parts donor. I only want a few things, but the price makes it very feasible.

Sorry Aaron, it was the one in Maryland that I was referring to that was dropped to $250. Saw it on the Baltimore CL.
