These Peugeot headlamps can be hard to find, and this NOS one for auction has a reasonable opening price:

I really liked this Bob Jackson, not sure if the price is correct though, I can't judge on this one. Anyone here to comment. I'm not too far from Chicago. Do you think the components are original?

I bought this as a project and don't have the time for it.

Gorgeous pink 54cm Somec road frame.

The decals would place it around 1991--1992

•Columbus tubing, fully lugged
•Campy dropouts
•Amazing Color
•Internal Routing

This stuff is basically included for free.
•Campy Mirage cranks (previous owner ran as a single speed)
•Campy Bottom Bracket

*Please note*
•The previous owner compressed the seat clamp slightly too far. I have been told it's salvageable.
•There is a tiny impression on the top tube, it is cosmetic, and shouldn't compromise the structural integrity of the bike.

*The price reflects these blemishes.*

E-MAIL ME with a phone number, and I will call you back immediately, and answer any questions.

First come, first served.

I've no idea if this is priced too high or not, but, $700 for an old Trek seems double the worth to me:

vintage Trek road bike, less then 500 miles, 99% original (new inner tubes-brake pads).not shown are matching red madden panniers and handlebar bag, air pump, this bike has spent almost its entire life hanging in my garage,a few chips in the paint. otherwise probably the nieces example of an original vintage trek road bike in town. the seat tube size is 24" C/T. all the specs can be found on the Trek internet site.
interested parties please call 534-6595
thank you Joe

While searching for a bicycle truing stand, I ran across this (in case you're interested in serious wheel building). Just $500 takes it.

19" Mountain Goat Whiskeytown Racer frame for sale. Originally purchased in 1992, it is a hand welded frame with Prestige Tubing. It is light weight steel frame custom painted in a white with black spots. The frame is %100 and the paint has scratches. The decals need replacing, but this is an amazing classic frame. They have recently been reproduce through First Flight Bikes and are starting at $1,400 without custom paint.

Components look a bit earlier than 78 to me, around 73/4. If it were local to me, I might have bought it by now. The size is probably the one thing keeping it around. Build might be original to the bike. Very good price IMO.

Schwinn Pursuit Road Bike - $300 (Garden Grove)

https://orangecounty.craigslist.org/bik/3278672582.html

Its time for me to sell my Schwinn Circuit. As mentioned before this is one of Schwinn's hidden gems. They are beautifully built and nicely outfitted with a full Suntour Sprint group.

Too bad about the top tube. Looks good otherwise. That Concor Profil saddle is worth $100 in VGC on the auction site.

Simoncini racing bike I had custom fitted at Cycles BiKyle in Ardmore, PA in 1987. It is a handmade Columbus steel lugged frame with a mixed Campognolo group, mostly Chorus and Athena, in very nice condition. It has a custom blood red paint job. I rode it a lot for 5+ years then stopped for 20 years. Recently, I started riding again and just bought a new all carbon fiber bike from Cycles Bikyle. As much as I love the Simoncini, it has to go to someone who has a real appreciation for a classic. The color of the photos is not right; the bike is a rich, deep red, like Ferrari red. When you ride this down hill at 50 MPH (as I have), you will feel like you are driving a classic Ferrari.

Since the bike was fitted for me; it will fit someone who is 6'0" tall.

Here are the essential measurements in inches:

Wheelbase c-to-c: 39-1/4"
Seat tube c-to-c: 23"
Top tube c-to-c: 23"
Standover clearance ground to top of top tube: 33-1/2"
Cranks: 172.5 mm
Front chainring: 53/39
Freewheel: 8 speed - 13/26
Pedals: classic old style Look clipless
Tires: Contenental Gaterskins bought this year, less than 100 miles

[h=2]Trek 660 Road Bike (61cm) - $325 (University City)[/h]

Date: 2012-09-18, 8:14AM EDT

This 1984 Trek 660 Road Racing Bicycle is a high quality vintage racer and is ROAD READY.

The bike is obviously used, and has some signs of wear, but is generally in good condition for a bike its age. There are a few scratches, chips, and spots where the paint was touched up over the years. The entire bike has been cleaned, degreased and all bearings (headset, bottom bracket) have new grease.

Price is negotiable, but no low-ballers, I can get the asking price on the parts alone. I live in University City and work in Center City and could meet up in either area.

[Vitals]
- Frame size is 24" (61cm) - best for riders 6' or taller w/ a 32" inseam
- Bike Weight is 25lbs total

[From the Factory]
- Reynolds 531cs lugged lightweight steel tubes, forks, and stays
- Campagnolo Nuovo Record Crank, bottom bracket, and front derailleur
- Titan 700c clincher rims with quick release laced to super smooth Maillard (made in France) professional hub in front and Helicomatic gear set in rear - wheels have been trued.
- Modolo "speedy" front/rear side pull brakes and levers (Made in Italy)
- SR World Custom aluminum drop bars

[Add-ons/non-original parts]
- The most obvious change to this bike is the Shimano 600 indexed rear derailleur and downtube shifter. This replaced the original Campy fd that was not indexed. A nice addition if your not a purist as it makes it tons easier to shift.
- The two bottle holders are used, but are in decent condition
- Cannondale pedals are new
- NEW Fyxation saddle (period correct style)
- NEW Cane Creek brake lever hoods
- NEW Vittoria Zaffiro 700x23 tires
- NEW cables for brakes and derailleurs, new housing as well
- NEW cork bar tape and end plugs
- NEW Rear derailleur jockey wheels (red) from Velo Orange
More information: https://www.vintage-trek.com/images/t...rek1Racing.pdf

In all a good riding, sturdy and road absorbing bike. It has many years left in it. e-mail me, Chris

The tubing and decal style is wrong for that to be an '80. It looks more like an '85 with the Bianchi Special tubing. It is no longer "NIB" but now NOS missing brake hoods.

OK I know this is not the place for a facilitator but I know several of us want a triple triangle or Hellenic type frame sooo is there anyone in Tuscon willing to check this out? I think it is a bit pricey at $420 though, it likely sold new for $429 since a similar Bianchi with Alpha 5000 sold at $480. It also looks long in the HT for a 57. https://tucson.craigslist.org/bik/3274293149.html

1987 Nashbar Road Alpha 5000

Most internet info points to these being made by Shogun and rebranded by Nashbar. Comes with very nice full Suntour Aplha 5000 groupset. The seat stays are similar to GT designs which are called "Hellenic" (commonly referred to as Triple Triangle).

I'm the 3rd owner of this bike which has been extremely loved and well taken care of. The previous owner passed along the wishes of the original owner that this bike not be gutted and turned into a single speed or fixed gear bike. I'd ask the same of whomever buys it from me. It's a beautiful vintage road bike that's extremely hard to find in this condition. Super clean, No dents or dings, just little spots of chipped paint here and there, nothing too dramatic though.

Recently Serviced Hubs, Headset, Bottom Bracket and packed with Phil Wood Waterproof Grease. Also installed new Brake Lines, Housing and Bar Tape.

Price is FIRM at $420. No offers please. I Don't NEED to sell this bike, but if someone else would get more use out of it, that'd make me happy and I'd put the money towards my other bike projects.

Seat Tube: 57cm c-c
Top Tube: 56cm c-c
Stand Over: 32.75"

Frame: Triple Butted | Lugged | Ishiwata EX 4130
Stem: Nitto
Handlebars: Nitto B115
Wheelset: Suzue Hubs / 700c Araya Rims / Vittoria Rubino Tires
Freewheel: Suntour Alpha 6 Speed 13T-24T
Shifters/Derailers: Suntour Alpha 5000
Crankset: Sugino GP 170mm - 52T/38T Chainrings
Pedals: Shimano 600 Aero (Old Ultegra Level)
Seatpost: SR Laprade Flutted 27.0
Saddle: Vetta
Brakeset: Dia Compe Alpha W/ Aero Levers

Will include an extra seatpost that's longer incase you're a taller rider. I also have a pair of SPD Pedals if you prefer those instead.

Email or text preferred 5 two 0 - two 4 eight - 6 seven 6 five

If the Ad is up, the bike is available. Thanks for looking!

Interesting Italian frankenbike (Dura Ace brake levers with panto Campy crankset?) in Idaho:

Great riding bike, classic chrome forks, Campy cranks("pantagraphed" or etched and painted), and campy r. der (Grand Sport), TTT stem, New tape. Rides fine. Paint is in average shape, but Frame is sound. Bike is made with Colombus Tubeset--I think it's Aeille?, which would make it a mid-range butted chromolly tubeset. Tires have about 175 miles on thme and sell new for around $50. The bike has a classic Italian racing geometry which makes it fun to joyride and handles corners very sharply. This bike was my son's who just out grew it this year. At nearly 6'5" with much longer arms and still growing, we upgraded a size to get a better seat-to-handlebar proportion. It is ideally suited for someone 6'1" to 6'4" in most cases. The current stem is very long so it may accomodate an even larger rider in some cases. Call for more info. NO TEXTS PLEASE--I WILL NOT ANSWER THEM.

Very pretty vintage Vitus bike. Anodizing still in excellent condition with newly laced up Blue Mavic Open Pro wheels. This is the original quality aluminum bike that Sean Kelley rode to stage victories in the Tour de France back in the day. This particular bike has just a few minor cosmetic nicks, but is in excellent condition both functionally and visually. It is equipped with mostly Shimano 600--Pre ultegra. Indexed bar end shifters, TTT stem/bars, Dura Ace seat post; Headset is a nice aluminum stronglight, brakes are Modolo--speedy or Pro?. Tires in excellent shape. I'll include identical new handlebar tape for buyer to do with as they like, and MAY be able to find aero bars for Triathalon work.

Call--no texts please!

I saw this and gave it some consideration but at 1K I could not have resold for that if I didn't like it. If it is still listed in a few weeks I may offer $400 maybe he'll sellte for 500ish and if need be I could part it out if I had to.

Nishiki Tri-A with Tange 1 tubes, and "stage race" geometry, and Shimano 600 12 speed indexed drive train with down tube shifters. The lugged frame is very nicely made (by Kawamura).

Beautiful bicycle with excellent components-garaged and one original owner. The bike rides and performs seamlessly. Please call for more information or to test ride: 805-259-8867

A Bianchi 700C Mountain bike. This is a '91 Project 5 forst year for Bianchis 700C MTN bike concept that we all know now as '29ers. I don't know what 'upgrades' the seller is talking about but it came with Suntour XC-LTD and tange DB ChroMo frame/fork. Yeah the color and graphics are not very cool but this is serious MTB on par with a RockHopper level machine of the era. It is acutally Fuchsia and Dove grey
