https://fortwayne.craigslist.org/bik/3276617332.html It looks like it would fit me, but I'm unemployed so trying to buy that would be sort of stupid financially, I could if I wanted to dip into savings but I don't need the bike, and if this unemployment thing goes too long I may have to start going into the savings or sell one of the classic cars I have. Fortunately I do have a income stream from rental property but there are bills associated with that stuff and my own personal bills, thank God my house was paid off.

[h=2]D'Arienzo (Basso) Italian Road Bike - $250 (Salem)[/h]

Date: 2012-09-19, 4:17PM EDT

An Italian Classic, D'Arienzo is the label that Basso imprted bikes under in the late 80's You can see the Basso name on the dropouts, and a quick google will tell the story of why Basso sold as D'Arienzo.
In any case, this is the classic italian steel road-bike. 56cm Center-To-Center (32.25" stand over height), Columbus Tubing (SL/SP), a mix of DuraAce and Ultegra 600 components, and a sweet, efficient fatigue-free ride that will have you grinning (in italian of course).
Please check out the pictures. I have SPD clip less pedals, and the original toe-clip ultegras, as well as a second white saddle on titanium rails.
There is some rust on the chrome, and you'll need some work with steel wool, but you'll have a bike unlike anything being made now (at least anywhere near the price).

That Peugeot is a UO-10, not a PX-10. It has regular carbon steel tubes. Nothing special.

Man - that stinks. Hang in there...or maybe think different training and field? My boat isn't quite the same, but during the hot hiring period 4 months back, I was in a wheel chair, and things I should have had went to others. Really frustrating when you'll never get that lost revenue or opportunity in a tiny settlement from someone under insured.

LOL!! I was physically fine until about 2 years ago during a Aikido practice session my shoulder went snap crackle pop so I had to have shoulder surgery and the doc said no more Aikido for me, so after 40 some odd years I had to quit. Then a year later I have the encounter with the drunk, and surgery again except this time on the back. Suddenly at 59 I don't feel as young as I use to! Oh well, we only get to go around once in this world, and during that time there will be ups and downs, so we just need to adjust and keep going. I don't hate the drunk, I hate the fact he drank and drove but I don't hate him as a person. One thing good that came out of the accident...he won't drive drunk anymore and maybe kill a family.

I believe it is a PR10, based on the crank. 3 Main tubes 531. I would be giving it a look if it were in my area. Could be a workshop bike, but I really, really doubt it. That model crank was on the PR for a couple of years mid/late seventies. It would warrant some investigation.
A bit nicer than a UO10, but not quite a PX.

Oh, we didn't mean to say it wasn't worth a look. It's just that PX-10s are selling for premium prices. This one is at best half the worth and the seller may not accept the fact that his "precious" won't sell at his price. Also, some sellers may get totally defensive if confronted with the truth about their gem.

This looks spendy but I think this should be a fabulous rider. Columbus SBX, the DT ovalizes at the BB for the Bianchi ride. https://www.ebay.com/itm/vintage-BIAN...item27cb12a0a4
The decals are messed up the DT one must be a replacement it should look like the '93 era one on the ST

Oh, I don't know. $150 is a good price assuming that it's in tip-top shape, new tires, new bar wrap and ready to ride.

150 is fair for a PR even if it needs some work. The model just below the PX, a very nice rider. I would ask around 300 in ready to go condition.

Hey man, I found one but realized you're about my size. It seems a decent bike, likely he would take $100 for it. But wrong size for you. Anyway, just an idea here.

Hey guys, I'm looking for a semi-decent starter bike for under 150 (I know, I know...). I'm about 6'0" with a 34" inseam, so I've seen that 59cm is a good place to start. Anybody see anything on craigslist lately in Chicago at all?
Ive been scouring chicago CL and havent found anything notable.

Here is another one, your size for sure. Maybe worth checking and trying to offer less, I think he is asking way too much.

I think this is an awfully attractive bike for the price:
philadelphia craigslist > for sale / wanted > bicycles - by owner
Fuji Touring series - $250 (19154)

Please read the entire post before you reply!!
I will not respond to replies asking if I "still have it".
I will not respond to replies that do not include a valid call back number!!
I believe this bike is a 1995, though I'm not certain.
This is my personal bike that I don't use any more because I no longer commute. This bike is a very tough bike and would be a good bike for fully loadeed touring or as a winter commuter.
Spec:
4130 Chromoly frame. seat tube is 50cm ctc 53.5cm c to t, top tube is 54.5ctc and shoult be good for 5'6" to about 5'10",( I'm 5'10"and that's about the upper limit).
27spd Shimano Tiagra shifters, 105 front derailleur, Shimano Sora cranks, rear derailleur is the older Deora LX, (the crappy pedals are on it only for test rides. you can have them if you want them.)
Avid Shorty 6 cantilever brakes with cartridge pads.
Wheels have been upgraded to a Shimano 40 hole tandem rear hub and a 36 hole Shimano deore LX front hub hand laced with Dt Swiss 2.0 straight guage spokes to Mavic A719 rims with 700x28 Vittoria Randonee tires. I built this bike to be a very seriuos work horse and can handle pretty much any thing you can throw at it. With the right racks it can easily carry 60lb on the back and 40lb on tha front.
The bike does have the normal cable rubs along with a few noticeable nicks and scratches but, it still looks very nice for it's age.
I'm asking $250. Your welcome to make offers but don't be ridiculous.

I believe this bike is a 1995, though I'm not certain.
This is my personal bike that I don't use any more because I no longer commute. This bike is a very tough bike and would be a good bike for fully loadeed touring or as a winter commuter.

The seller was extremely knowledgeable on bikes and even built a few of his own frames too. Nice to see someone else with the disease.

Well done Kobe! That bike was a steal...I'm getting away from flipping, but...I thought about it.
