They are heavy but they used thick walled stainless, it would be a great commuter bike for any type of weather since it would never rust.

https://richmondin.craigslist.org/bik/3166252568.html This in Richmond Indiana which on the 70 hwy in the south east area of Indiana not far from Cincinnati. This bike has been for sale for quite awhile, at least two months, they may be motivated by now?
If that were nearby, I'd definitely go look at it.

Hi, I am selling this nice vintage road bike because I bought a new one and haven't gotten around to putting a new chain on this one, which is needed. You could also replace the grip tape but overall this bike is in great condition made of triple layered chrome alloy. This bike also needs pedals. You can get those for pretty cheap. 56 cm frame.

You could order a Paramount just about any way you wanted it, including turkey levers, stem shifters and a kickstand.

For sale: Univega Viva Sport road bike

I used this bike for commuting all through college, and it served me exceptionally well. Unfortunately, I now have too many bikes, and so we must part ways.

This bike has three chain rings in the front and six gears in the back. The shifters are Suntour downtube friction shifters with a Suntour front and rear derailleur. The brake calipers and levers are Dia-Compe.

I've put on a new seatpost, a new saddle (Specialized Riva MTB), replaced the front brake cable and housing, and replaced the old pedals. There is a little cosmetic damage (which is to be expected on a steel bike from the late 80s), and the rear derailleur braze-on is out of alignment. Because of this, I've knocked the price down from $200 to $150, which is about the cost of a basic tune-up at most bike shops. I even threw in a free bottle cage (the perfect size for holding a medium iced coffee, or a large burrito). Hurray!

The bike is built for someone around 5'10"-6'2", but there is some flexibility. I'll adjust the seatpost to fit you when you come check out the bike.

Triple Triangle ALERT!! I may have posted this before but I think a few of us are looking or these. This looks big for a 57 to me.

https://tucson.craigslist.org/bik/3274293149.html

Nashbar Road Alpha 5000 - $380 (Downtown) $380 is likely a bit much for this.

This bike is still up on craigslist. He's even lowered the price to $275.

Just a quick price/sanity check- am I nuts for offering hime $375 for the bike, shipping and his time to get it to me?

I don't think so Dan. A shop would charge around $50 to pack it and shipping would be around $45-60 unless it goes UPS make sure he uses FedEx.

Shipping would be cheaper if he sent it here. I could reassemble it and ride it a bit to make sure you would like it.

It might be wise to see if a Tampa-based C&Ver would be willing to inspect it for you Dan, I've seen many ALANs on offer with cracks that the seller "didn't notice." The price would be great if it checks out!

Hmm, I was thinking (and mentioned in my email) $40 to pack and $40 to ship. Either way, the conversation is in motion, we'll see.

Here's an odd duck. And a pricey one. But then, when was the last time you saw a vintage aluminum Cinelli track bike with a stem shifter?

Cinelli racing bike - $3500 (West Town, Chicago)
Cinelli - Italian racing bike. Aluminium frame, double butted tubing. Early 1950's track bike, single speed modified to 5 speeds. Belgium rims with Continental tires.
The frame is the prize. Ultra light weight. A diamond in the rough. Most people wouldn't look twice at this bike, but for those who know, their jaws drop.
$3,500. cash only.
