Wonder what's keeping that ciocc from moving: the non-working ergo, the surprising amount of brakewear on the front rim, or the "this is a dead guy's bike" anecdote?

Sooner or later every vintage bike is going to be a "dead guy's bike."

I wonder what size that Santana is?

I stumbled across this '87 Volpe on N.J. CL. It looks nice aside from the white tires/pedals but the frame looks in great shape. Price is iffy but you don't see many of these. https://newjersey.craigslist.org/bik/3323330658.html

I emailed the seller to ask. Hopefully I hear back - if I do, I will post that info here.

If, by some stroke of luck, it's suitable for a 6'3" captain and 5'4" stoker, I might scrounge the money and pick it up myself.

The SS couplers eliminate one of the most obvious drawbacks to a tandem bike: the storage requirement and challenge of transporting such a thing.

Selling this white and "salmon" pink Takara Olympian road/touring bike which has Dia Compe alpha-5000 brakes (from touring bikes in the 80s), gears shift on the down tube. the top tube sits at about 32 inches off the ground. I don't ride it because it's not my frame size and have another, but it's in good condition.

Frame Size: 60
Model Year: 1985
Gears: 12

Aren't the 8 (EIGHT) S&S couplers worth more than the asking price were you to just scrap the frame and harvest them?

That santana is an AMAZING deal.

Cute looking miniature. If my son wasn't already 16 and as tall as me, I'd be jumping on this...sounds like it's close to my house too. The guy probably picked it up at a yard sale too--one I missed!
