$200's a steal for that Mantra. Marley Mission would have scooped it up already if it was in NJ

Thanks for the welcome Bianchigirll. I just sent a text to the seller for more info.
I can not expedite due to prior commitments.
The frame looks like around a 60 cm to 62cm from the picture.
I have no idea about group set.

Give Marley some credit, its trekkie Mantra I think he is only into pre-Trek Kleins.

[h=2]1985 Trek 520 - Excellent Condition - $350 (South Shore)[/h]

Date: 2012-11-23, 4:44PM EST
xs9nz-3417698846@sale.craigslist.org[SUP][Errors when replying to ads?][/SUP]

Yes, it's true. I'm selling my 1985 Trek 520. I never thought this day would come, but I'm going to be traveling indefinitely starting in March 2013 and there's just no point of leaving such an incredible bike back home when it's not getting put to good use. I purchased "Ochocinco" back in Februrary and didn't ride a mile on him until I started a 1,700 mile Pacific Coast bike tour from Seattle, WA to the border of Mexico. Let me tell you something, "Ochocinco" is one of the baddest touring bikes to ever hit the streets. He crushed every climb in his path on this trip. I seriously, couldn't have chosen a better bike to do my first bicycle tour on.

Okay, in all seriousness, this is a very sought after, vintage 1985 Trek 520 that is known as one of the best touring bikes still to this day despite it's age. It's in great condition, even after a 1,700 mile bike tour. It saw two actual days of rain on my bike tour and was wiped down after each ride.

I'm not looking for trades, straight cash only. I'm 100% positive that the first serious buyer that comes to check this bike out will be the new owner.

No games! Please do your research before you email me and throw down a low ball offer.

Stats:
1985 Trek 520.
Specialized Armadillo All Condition Tires
Front Wheel: Stock
Real Wheel: Double Walled Alexrims wheel (New, only 475 miles on it)
Frame: 22" or 56cm Reynolds lugged steel frame <-- (I was told this info by the previous owner. All I know is that I'm 5'11 with a 32 inseam and this bike fits me perfect).
Rear Rack: Jim Blackburn.

NOTE: 1st photo shows the bike as is (NOW). The second and third photos are from when I purchased it in February. You'll notice the new rear wheel (black) and the new cassette are the only real differences from when I purchased it originally.

Included accessories:

Handpump (see photos)
Cateye Bike Computer
Tire removers

Fuji 450re Womens Terry Road/triathlon tri Bike girls cool green color

This is one of the coolest and hippest bikes that has ever been made. HandMade Bike from Fuji in Japan. Fuji made this bike as a concept bike to compete with the Womens Terry bikes of the time, this attempt is very cool. they made it with a 27 inch rear wheel and a 24 inch front wheel. it also has been set up as a triathlon bike but still with road handlebars so it can be used for both. has an extra brake lever on the tri bars so you can brake while being in tri position and has 2 levers on the regular bars. the index shifters are on the tri bars. Bike has recently had a full servicing. Rides very smooth. The bike comes with flat pedals that are like new. if you want the cool first generation red and white look pedals they are an extra 40 bucks. front wheel can be taken off in just seconds along with the rear wheel, essential for transport.

The bike is a 48cm frame which is good for someone who is 4'9" till 5'8". Kingston is located about a half hour from downtown boston and there is a commuter rail during the week. thanks for looking

If the bike is still listed on craigslist it means it is still available. price is firm. people who leave phone numbers will be first responces. Will be removed from craigslist once it is sold.

FEATURES

Fuji Va-lite tubing (lightweight)
dual yellow/neon green bottle cages
t-gear tri bars
aero compe brake levers
suntour x-5000 derailleurs (indexed)
6 speed drivetrain with a double up front
index tri bar shifters
viscount saddle
sugino gp130 cranks
dia compe brake calipers
quick release rear and front wheel skewers
Ukai rims

It won't be fixed or stripped. It's in amazing condition so just a good tune/detail, a proper leather Brooks, brake pads and some black cables. (unless I can find some of the original white grooved type)

Klein bike

Take the bike back to the shop and have them yell at the mechanic who overhauled the fork.

AH the new owner speaks up. Personally I wouldn't worry about finding NOS grooved white cables. Go with new/modern stuff either black or white it will give better performance. I can't wait to see more and better pics of this.

Very cool. I was incredibly tempted, even though it's not my size. Keep us posted on it.

Up for sale is a Raleigh Super Course road bike. The frame size is 63cm measured C-C, so it's really big. The tubing is Reynolds 531 and also says made in England. A lot of the components are original and are stamped Raleigh, like the cranks, brakes, seatpost, and front derailleur. The rear derailleur is a Suntour Cyclone and the freewheel is a Regina. The bottom bracket is a Suntour sealed bearing, and the headset is a Shimano 600 Ultegra, because the original steel headset had a very low stack height that only the Ultegra seemed to have. The rims are Weinmann concave with eyelets and the hubs are high flange Campagnolo. Oh- the seat is a very broken-in Brooks. Overall, the paint and decals are a bit rough, but original. You can buy this bike to ride if it fits, or you can use the parts on another bike, or just part the entire bike out- seems like that's what ends up happening to all of the old stuff, nowadays.

[h=2]Vintage Schwinn Paramount Track Bike 24" - $950 (Hackettstown)[/h]

Date: 2012-11-24, 4:55PM EST

Never thought I'd ever be considering selling this bike, but... Here it is- a 1976 Schwinn Paramount track bike with 24" wheels. When was the last time you saw one of these? I have only seen one other Paramount in this size. I've had this bike for over 20 years (OK.. I'll admit to riding it around my town once or twice) and it's been hanging next to my other 1976 Paramount track bike, which has a frame size that's the same as the wheel size on this bike. The only parts that I have replaced on this bike since I got it are the chain and rear cog, and I changed them out right away. Gearing is a 46/14 and the chain is a Sedis 1/8". The crank is a Sugino with the 151 bolt circle. Headset, bottom bracket, seatpost, seat binder bolt, and alloy toe clips are Campagnolo. Bars and stem are both Cinelli that got some fresh cloth tape when I got the bike.

The bad news: The tubular tires are dry and cracked.
The good news: This bike comes with (4) unused Clement tubulars and even (2 ) Fiamme 24" tubular rims- one still has some of the plastic wrap on it.

I don't know the full history of this bike, but I heard a story that I can't confirm. The sticker is really worn that shows the bike shop's name, but I'll give you a clue: it was a Schwinn dealer in Somerville, NJ.

If this were smaller I would be asking for a facilitator as I'm on the hunt for a Portage. However, I'm no tall drink of water so some lucky C&V'er should snatch up this deal.

EDIT: This posting is from 11/3. Something tells me this could be long gone.

Vintage Raleigh Bike - $100 (Anchorage)

This vintage Raliegh bike is in good condition for its age, it's got some scratches but other than that every part of it works. It's a 1985 of 84 Portage touring bike. It has 555t chrome tubing. Shifting gears works, basically new brake pads fully working. Both tires have good tred and working tubes inside. There is little to no rust. And it come with one extra tred, very good deal. The spokes and rims are in good condition. This is a very good deal! Take it before its gone! Contact me.

This is about as cheap as I've seen Suntour Command shifters for awhile ($65, buy it now), although they have some scratches... This is not my auction.
------------------------------------
[h=1]Vintage Suntour Command 7 speed shifters[/h]Here is a set of used Suntour Command 7 speed Friction or Indexed shifters. These function perfectly but do have some scuffs and scrapes to the levers and caps. Please refer to pics for condition. There is also a bit of rust to the metal brackets but nothing that shouldn't clean up. Happy Bidding!

- Paypal only please
- Please pay within 48 hrs of auction end
- Returns accepted within 14 days

1951 Raleigh DL-1 Tourist - $535 (Fishtown)

A gentleman's 1951 Raleigh DL-1 Tourist for sale. 3-speed English cruiser from the hey-day, this is easily the most comfortable bicycle I've ever ridden.
Most of the bicycle is original, including the fun rod brakes and Brooks leather saddle. The Sturmey-Archer hub has been swapped out from an early-70s model, and the tires are new.
Don't let the classiness of this ride fool you, its a work horse - the same one used by English bobbies and mail carriers back when they had those.
$535 OBO
